kabhee khushian dikhatee hay or kabhee ghum,
yeh zulm bhee kartee hay or kabhee kartee hay reham,

Kantay hain is ki rahoon main or phoolon ki saij bhee,
Kabhi zakhmi hotay hain paon or kabhi lagtee hay zarkhez bhee,

Muskuratay hoay jo kaat lay, woh khush naseeb raha,
Is zalim zamanay main her koee mera raqeeb raha,

Safr-e-zindagee bohat katthan hay magar,
Is safar say farar kis ko hay magar
