I don't think you have to give it all back if you are a prelim winner, but your daughter wouldn't be considered the title holder anymore. They would recrown the next in line. I think this is accurate. However, if your daughter has never been to an OLM state pageant, do everything you can to get her there. The directors are so understanding about special circumstances and will help you in any way they can. Check with them to see if you can go to the South Central Regional instead of Texas if that fits your plans better. Obviously your daughter is precious or she wouldn't have been chosen. Just do what you can to make it happen and if it still isn't possible, try again in the fall! Best wishes and good luck!
