Subject: P brackets on a Trapper 300

At the end of last season there was an unusual vibration when the neging was running at full power. (not huge with a Yanmar 8!). When she was lifted out I found that the screws on the P bracket were loose. I have been advised to replace them with through bolted nuts and bolts. This would mean cutting back the fibreglass to expose the glassed over nuts. The cause may have been corrosion of the prop with subsequent loss of balance. The prop is being replaced for this season. So the system should be rebalanced. Am I justified in just retightening the screws? Should I glue them in? Should I attempt to rebolt the whole bracket? I would be grateful for any advice from anyone who has had a similar problem.
Thanks in advance
Peter
