I started douching when I was 15 - not every day, of course, but just after my period and when I felt the need. My mom douched every day because in those days most women wore skirts with stockings and an open crotch girdle that made wearing panties difficult and not very helpful. She relied on the douche to prevent vaginal "dribbling" as she called it.
