I looked into several before buying one, including taking some test drives. I think the choice depends on your cold water supply temperature. If your cold water is cold, your best choice is the Toto Jasmine. The reason is that it does not use a warm water storage tank, which gives a nasty cold surprise when it runs out, but rather heats the water continuously.

As to releiving constipation, they do work. Not as well as an enema, but will certainly get things started. Unfortunately, if the water is set strong enough to get inside you, it also makes my anus somewhat sore. There is a new one called Izen which is supposed to help with this. Search for the commercial on YouTube. It looks like fun, but I've not tried it yet.
