I don't think the JBL is useful for douching because douche water is not retained but just flows in and out. The one my mom had years ago came with a hose and douche nozzle but I don't think they were ever used.

The JBL did give very effective enemas. When I sat on it, there was little discomfort but the water always went up very high and it never failed to produce very complete results.
