JV White, and Varsity, please drop off your uniforms at Ramp playground. I will be there on Thursday from 4:30 to 9:30 and Saturday from 9 to 1. If you can't get there on those days please drop them off any weekday after 3:30. There will be a person in the building collecting them and they will be sure to give them to me. Thanks.

Boys, although I wanted to have something for you guys along with the uniform returns, time will not allow it.

Please put your uniforms in a bag, put your name on a paper inside of the bag, and drop them off at my house before Friday. This is for ALL baseball players, V and JV.
My address is 8015 Albion St.If no one is home, put it inside the door.

I also have registration forms for the 2009 Instructional
Baseball Camp at McArdle(Pollock). The dates are Mon. June 22nd. to Friday the 26th. This is a top-notch baseball camp
run by Father Judge coach Tim Ginter and I highly recommened it. All three of my sons have gone to this camp and it is the best deal for the money. 30 bucks get you breakfast and lunch everyday, great instruction all week, a t-shirt and at the end a Phillies ticket.You can't beat it.
Have a safe summer to all our athletes. See you in Church.

Tough loss boys. What can I say. It is a life lesson that even when you do everything right the outcome is beyond your control. Your conduct and efforts were exemplary this season and Coach Kenny and myself could not be more proud of each of you. I want to thank all of the Parents for all their help this season and in particular Ted V.We could not have done it without you. I know that some of the boys were not happy with the lack of playing time yesterday, but like we have said from day 1,CYO is big-boy baseball and we were in it to win it. The skill and expierience level were varied on this team and we tried to field the nine who would put us in the best position to win every week while also getting the bench players as much game time as possible. I think we did a good job at that and since we finished in fourth place out of twenty teams we must have been doing something right.I want to thank coach Kenny for all he has done for the last four years coaching this team. He is by far the best baseball coach I have ever met and we are very fortunate to have him.
We both appreciate all the kind words from the boys and parents and our opponents after yesterdays game. It means alot. One last piece of advice if you want to have a succesful baseball expierience is to play as much as you can. Play on multiple teams, Crispin, Fall baseball, go to all of the clinics, really become a student of the game and some day you may find yourself at the ultimate baseball heaven, wearing the Blue and White of FJHS.Good luck to the 6th graders next year playing Varsity and contrary to popular belief, Mr. D does not beat you with a -3 bat when you make an error(he has a small fungo bat for that)To my 5th graders, see you next year when we make another run at it. We are going to schedule a uniform return day and we would like to challenge the White team to a wiffle ball game at Ramp. We will get some hot dogs and have some fun. Here is the latest; Our makeup game Vs. St. Matts will be played Wednesday at 6:00pm at Ramp.Although we have made the playoffs, we need this win to insure a more favorable opponent in the first round. The game vs St. Cecilia's White is cancelled. We will end the season with 13 points. Even if we beat St. Cecilia's White it would only give us 14 points. We need 16 to get in. I just checked the updated standings. The 8th place team has 15 points and we have 12 points. It was a good year and I thank everybody who gave it their all up until the last game. We will have a little team get together in a couple of weeks. Keep posted to the board for info. Also, check time and schedules for St. Jeromes Black playoff games. They should have a home game. Get to Ramp and root them on. Good luck guys, I am sure you will represent well. Talk to everybody soon.

This is an unusual request. However I must ask. I have been on the phone with CTK for the past 2 weeks. We have not been able to get our schedules straight to make up our game that got rained out. However, we may need the win to get into the playoffs. We are quickly running out of time. It was suggested by CTK that we play this Monday. I told her that it was a Holiday but that I would check with my team and get back to her ASAP. So please let me know if you would be able to make a game Monday. Most likely an early game. Game Shout Outs go to John Erickson for giving us 3 and 2/3 solid innings of pitching. Dan Fritz for another great job of catching. Also Matt Feraldo for coming in and shuting the game down. Great job everybody. I have been on the phone with both coaches for our make up games. CTK is still up in the air. Cecelia's White will be next week. Either Tuesday or Wednesday. I will let you know. Ptractice is Wednesday at 5. We need to stay focused and get these wins to assure ourselves a playoff spot. Where apparently we wil be meeting jv Black for the championship. See you guys Wednesday.

Here is the latest; After conflicting messages from the Regional Director, Thursday is in fact a no-play day because it is a Holy Day of Obligation, so our makeup game against St. Matts will have to be played next week. Day and time TBA. Regardless of the outcome of that game, we are in the playoffs. Our first playoff game will be Saturday the 30th, our second will be the 31st, and we will play in the Championship game the first week of June.(hows that for positive thinking?)No practice this week. Have a good Holiday weekend.

You guys deserve a "Shout Out". As a parent watching from the sidelines I thank you for your time. You are an inspiration to these young gentleman. You have shown them what true sportsmanship is; how to work hard as a team, and hang in there even when the odds are not in their favor. Game is on today. Be at Ramp at 3:00. Shout Outs. First let me say that I have never been more proud of a team than I was yesterday. Under the difficult circumstances that we were under with key injuries and some things that went against us during the game. I have never seen a team show more heart, character, or determination. You guys have the character of a champion. You should be proud of yourselves. That being said, Shout Outs go to everybody. So here goes. Coach Lou, you are a terrific coach. You do a great job getting people in and out of our games and should be commended for it. Coach Joe, you have been a God send. Your work and uderstanding of the game has helped this team tremendously. Ryan O'neil, you are the leader of this team and continue to show it with your hard work and play. Dom Kenkelen, you had the key hit to put us ahead. Great job. Steve Driscole, who knew? Great job pitching for being thrown into a game for the first time against an undefeated team. Conall Smith, You are a pleasure to coach. You do not ask questions. Whenever called upon you go in and give 100 percent. Sal Ferrante, your hitting is continuing to improve. You are making contact against some tough pitchers. Peter Blumenstein, what can I say. I ask and you do. I move you up in the order and ask you to make contact and hit. And yesterday you did. Great job. Matt Feraldo, another first time pitcher for me and another job well done. Thanks for getting us through that last inning. John Erickson, great job at the plate yesterday. We are going to need that bat. Marcus Simeonides, you did a great job of getting on base and using your speed. Keep it up. Dan Fritz, great job catching yesterday. We needed those key throw outs that you made. Vince Nardino, you are doing a great job in the field. You came up with some key throws yesterday that helped us get outs. Great job. Frank Marricone, who showed up in pain yesterday and had to be taken to the hospital. Frank is ok but that took guts to even want to be there. Hope to see you today Frank. Finally, last but not least, Erik Petroski. Even though you are on IR you have been there to support your teamates every game. They appreciate it and we look forward to getting you back shortly. No practice this week. Wed. is May procession and Thursday is the All-Star game. Congrats to Sean Smith and Eric Suder who were chosen by their teammates to represent us in the game.Saturday we play St. Marthas at Thornton and Comly at 10:30. Be there by 10:00am. We will try to reschedule the game with St. Cecilia's White for next Wednesday. That would be May 20th. Since the May Procession is on Wednesday we will not have practice. We will try for practice on Thursday at 4:30. I know this may be an issue for those of you who play for other teams. Just let me know. Finally, Shout Outs. Shout Outs are intended for those who show improvement during games through hard work and determination. They are intended to give credit to those who bring their game to another level. They were not and will never be about indivdualism. That being said, Shout Outs go to Sal Ferronte and Marcus Simeonides. Both players had key RBI's in yesterdays game. Both players were smacking the ball all over the yard. Both showed tremendous improvement at the plate. Good job boys. Keep up the hard work.

Sorry about the late notice guys. Even though I specifically went over to CTK Coaches and gave them my cell phone number before they left our field yesterday, they still managed to mess it up. Anyway, it was a tough loss yesterday. We need to get back to work on Wednesday. We have played a number of good teams. And there are a few more of them left on our schedule. I consider us in that mix of good teams. However, we will not beat good teams if we are not focused and ready to play. We will practice hitting on Wednesday. Enjoy your day off.

No practice Friday. Kenny and I both have to work.

Gentlemen, we have 2 games this weekend. Saturday at Ramp. Game starts at 3:45. Be there at 3:00. Sunday, against Christ the King at 1. Game is at Liberty Bell. For those of you that don't know, that is Picariello playground. Be there at 12:30. Both games are very important against good teams. We need to be ready and focused to play. They are calling for bad weather this weekend. Hopefully it will hold off and we can play. Keep looking to the message board for information on rainouts. Game Shout Outs go to Peter Blumenstein, Dan Fritz, John Erickson, and Matt Feraldo. Peter for his great at bats. Dan for his terrific fielding at shortstop. John for making a great throw to third and gunning a guy out. Also, for giving everyone a great laugh after the play. Matt for making the correct play and throwing a guy out at home. This was the best win of the season. Not because we beat a good team but because the win showed character and heart. On a day, where it looked like we did not have it, everyone reached down for something extra. This is how good teams become great.Good job. Next practice Wednesday at 5 PM.
