Subject: I would like to know what you ladies consider the best way to promote your festival title.

Someone stated below the DF doesn't do anything with her title. I guessing that means she is not at other festivals. What if she were doing things in the community? My understanding of the festival title was to promote the festival. I have been to many festival pageants and I am pretty sure that the people at the pageant are familiar with the other pageants in the state. What about the people in the community? I have been thinking of competing for a festival title, but if the only thing you get credit for is going to other festivals, maybe that is not for me. If I were not competing this year I would give my support to DF. Just to shut you all up.

Besides going to other festivals to promote your title, you are also expected to attend mandatory events in the community that your festival is held in, and she has not.

I feel that any queen (not just festival ones) should represent their titles by traveling, but also by being active in their communities. Before you bash (any queens) I think you should look at what they might be doing to make a difference.
