If you are asking about the state pageants I believe they have all of those. C/I for prelims... -- Anonymous, 13:33:14 03/22/06 Wed [1]
These are the titles with prelims that I know of: Lafayette, New Orleans, Gulf Coast, Twin Cities, and LA Crawfish. I'm not sure as to which one they all go to. HTH!!

Typicaly (sp?) people say that America is for younger contestants and US is for older. c/i -- Anonymous, 14:21:11 03/22/06 Wed [1]
In America the top 5 last year wore a two piece swimsuit and in US they have to wear a one piece and pany hose

I don't think they are required to wear pantyhose. I think that is optional.

Info on America/United States -- Anonymous, 17:55:22 03/22/06 Wed [1]
America
Round robin interview, introduce yourself (with husband if available), swimsuit (option of one or two piece), evening gown. Top 5 not picked just announced with no on stage question. Rumor has it that it is for young winners but whose to say the right older lady couldn't grab the title. With the right look and body anything is possible. Body seems to be a factor here because the same body type seems to win more often here. Awards are nice.
United States
Interview (Panel for Mrs. not sure about Ms/Teen.) with choice of outfit--anything but jeans. Opening number outfit, swimsuit (one piece only Mrs. and choice for other two divisions), evening gown. Top 5 or 3 picked with on stage question. Sell $100 ad. Prize package is incredible.
Rumor here is older wins but who is to say a young one with the right look and maturity can't win this title. Body is not a factor here because all body types have won this title as well as sizes.
Prelims for both
America--Lafayette, New Orleans, Twin Cities, GulfCoast, Southwest (June), Baton Rouge, La. Crawfish
United States--Acadiana, Lafayette, New Orleans, and Shelly's pageants use to be but not sure if they still are.
I recommend both so which one you compete in is your choice by which one fits your style.

What is the scoring? How much does each phase count for? Interview? Swimsuit? Evening Gown? -- Anonymous, 08:32:44 03/23/06 Thu [1]

America is split 3 ways evenly, interview, swimsuit, evening gown. c/i -- Anonymous, 09:14:44 03/23/06 Thu [1]
United States is 50% interview, 25% evening and swim. I think that US calls out top 3 or 5 and then clears the scores. who ever has the highest score in on stage question wins.
