....as this tidbit from today's San Jose Mercury News indicates: "Ford may sell Volvo to Chinese company."
"Ford Motors has picked a consortium led by China's Geely Group as the preferred bidder to buy its Swedish Volvo Cars unit, the U.S. automaker said Wednesday. The announcement means that both sides have reached a fundamental agreement to sell the storied brand, but details such as price still must be worked out."

Henry Ford's descendants thus carry on a family tradition of doing business with totalitarian dictatorships. German Ford was the second largest producer of trucks for the Nazi military. Henry Ford was invited by Stalin in 1929 to send engineers and mechanics to a town called Gorki in the Soviet Union. They helped build Gorki Auto Factory (biggest Russian auto factory even today) as well as helped them set up military factories.
