The Kumayaki took Januya's verbal lashing well, in fact, better than she had the first time. It seemed she had vented much of her irritation in her own lengthy outburst and now sat quietly, absorbing the tarok's pessimistic lecture with quiet solemnity. ((Is that a WORD?)) And Januya's words took some effect; the grand scale of things, of what they were up against, she had only now grasped. Teeming spaceports and overflowing bunkers? The stark, vivid revalation to the Kumayaki's mind burned fiercely in her heart. In her mind's eye she could see how many millions of insectoid creatures leeched off of Terole's dusty surface like so many gnarled tumors. She could see gaunt yellow- and blackships taking off and landing at spaceports that boiled with activity beneath the planet's butterscotch sky.

Brilliant blue eyes closing slowly and her head bowed until her fangs touched her chest, Tee was nearly overwhelmed at what her mind's eye saw. Januya was right. It would take a great deal more than their meager forces to combat this evil. Redan's nod of appreciation was lost as the aya slowly pinned back her ears, the muscles in her jaw clenching as anger anew surged through her. How DARE they destroy Terole, how DARE they strip her surface bare of every living thing, of even the meager plant life that once flourished?

In an instant the angered aya's claws unsheathed from their protective places, their deadly curved lengths gripping the floor and pressing into what dirt lay on top of the rock. A surge of Terole's energy shot up her limbs and the next moment her eyes snapped open, ablaze with a fiery red glow, fueled not only by her anger but the energy force of an entire planet. The fur along her spine bristled and her tail stiffened as the aya stood slowly, raising her head to gaze evenly- though her eyes betray the fire within her- at Redan.

Collect what information you can, and plan what you will... Her mind-voice spoke only in the korat's skull, respectful but firm. I will not be able to remain inactive much longer.
