since i'm not going to vegas anytime soon, and dread theater shows as a rule, i'll have to drag doni with me to have any fun. for real, friends of mine have seen it and told me that i'd love it. i guess they know me better than i even know mice elf.

11th grade, 1960something my HS teacher asked the class to prepare a song and explain what it means. my friend and i chose eleanor rigby. just playing it on the record player for the class to have to listen to took up a good 3 minutes of our time. by the time we lifted the needle, classmates were either asleep or speechless. any questions? no? good. sat down, got an A.

That is a great story about ER -- "Any questions?" lmao

I read somewhere that song was inspired by walking through a cemetery. Eleanor Rigby was on one of the tombstones, and they built a song around the futility of existence...from that.
