Subject: Bridal PANTS?

oh NO....I had no idea I was so old-fashioned! I'm really surprised.

Not a day ago I was thinking how funny it was that until the early 70's, I was more apt to wear a dress, than pants, most days. Here I am thinking slacks for a wedding is just NOT ok! lol

Not even on this girl:

Not even like this:

I can't find the image from the ep, but not even that barely discernable as a kind of 'split' dress worked. Don't care for the look...can you tell? lol

Go to about 4:24 for the best view of the "Bridal Pants"

Ah, yes, Jeannie the mannequin in her wedding pants. A favorite of mine since childhood. And, then, she redecorated the house to be even groovier in that white, white, white, white, white stucco with the pseudo-Spanish fireplace just sticking up in the middle of the room (and a little niche for the bottle she wouldn't have to sleep in anymore). It was all her antics that made Major Nelson go insane and move to Texas where he became the evil J.R. Ewing. Golly, I think I'm off-topic. Yes, wedding pants are a bit odd, too.

Those were the best 'Jeannie' years, too. They FINALLY stopped portraying Jeannie as a stalker, with a dominance/submission fetish, and she became a "normal" bride, with that groovy new agey houset. ;)

I so enjoyed the gas lighting of Dr Bellows. ;)

That's when Major Nelson finally lightened up ever so little--allowing certain 'creature comforts', like everyone partying in the bottle.

Speaking of Off Topic. When I was in High School, a dear friend and myself drove out to take a look at Southfork...

Before it became a publich spectacle, and still belonged to a private family (whose name escapes me at the moment)... We drove by to see two of the 'manor born' sons, out painting the famous Southfork Entrance fence.

It was such a thrill to our lil 16 year old star struck brains...We talked to the boys for maybe 10 minutes. Long enough to learn one was 14 the other 16 and both attended Plano HS. While they painted, a long black Lincoln pulled up and "mama" rolled down the passenger window to let her "boys" know dinner would be ready so they needed to wash up."

Was that off topic enough? :D

I wear dresses way more than pants (I think they're more comfortable), but I'm okay with bridal pants if that's your thing.
