Subject: Oh Nikki! A doggie question, please.

I hope you see this. We have a 7 y.o. chocolate lab. For the last couple of months, she has been throwing up in the middle of the night about once a week. She is fed around 5:30pm. She does not get people food. She doesn't get many treats. Maybe a couple of dog biscuits. She vomits clear liquid, not muscous, not food. Can you help us??

What kind of food is she eating? Does she eat in the morning also or only once a day?

She eats science diet in the morning and at night. Thanks, I know you aren't here much and we are friends on Facebook, but I tried here first.

I would try giving her an evening snack right before you go to bed. Sometimes the overnight gap is too long for an empty tummy. If that doesn't help, try giving her a 10mg famotidine (Pepcid) with the before bed snack.
