Subject: Received notice today that I am scheduled to testify on Tuesday

The Worker's Comp case involving my kids' second grade teacher finally goes to court on Monday. They will do jury selection Monday morning. I am supposed to be at court at 8:30 on Tuesday morning. Although I will be glad to get my part over, I am not looking forward to this. This has been going on for so long that sometimes my mind gets muddled and I am afraid I am going to mess up.

Also, I was told that they would probably question why I left my kids in the school if I was concerned about the air quality. Although there is a lot of reasons I could give, my main reason was that while my children experienced symptoms from being in the school, they were not life-threatening symptoms that other kids had. My kids do not have problems with asthma or trouble breathing. Theirs are symptoms of inconvenience and concern like itchy eyes, sore throats, nosebleeds, stomachaches. Also, I don't have the support at home to take them out. And...I thought all along that they were going to fix the darn school. I don't like the thought that it seems like I am being put on trial for my decisions.

My anger at the administration has re-kindled as I think of all the lies that have been told. I was told that one of the principals will be sitting at the BWC table as a representative of the school. I am hoping that just seeing her there will strengthen my resolve to get the truth out and make a good impression on the jury.

Please hold a good thought for me on Tuesday. I am hoping that this trial will go the way it should and it will prompt the school to do something to fix the situation.

[> The local NBC investigative reporter just did a report on air quality in schools. -- francie, 04:21:22 02/11/11 Fri [1] (cpe-174-103-49-204.indy.res.rr.com/174.103.49.204)

It was very interesting and I thought of you. Because of the number of bodies in a classroom, the CO2 levels go up. Some schools test for it but many do not.

I forwarded this on to my friend who is homeschooling her kids because they are under doctor's orders not to enter the building.

This situation has been so frustrating for so many years.

Just be calm and factual - they know how passionate you are about this. It'll come through. Best of luck.

I think you'll do great. You know the subject inside and out and your passion and resolve will come through.

What a great advocate you are for all the students in that school!
