Subject: Robin egg

We have been finding robin eggs the past few days. One open and no yoke. one cracked open with an embryo and one intact. My daughter is keeping it warm under a light but was wondering if there is any way to tell if it is fertile. If it is and hatches what do we do? We can see the next but no birds around lately and it is too high to replace the egg. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
