Subject: Merry Christmas everyone! What did y'all GET????

I got a Flip camcorder, among other things. If I ever find anything interesting enough to video I'll post it. But what did the rest of you get? For some reason, I love to hear all about what everyone got for Christmas! Love you all and hope you all had a great holiday.

I got new socks. I got a tin sign that says "Provencher's Tangled Tinsel Christmas Tree Farm" Hee !! After all this talk about Kindles I got several actual BOOKS ..Eat This Not That cookbook of 150 comfort foods, Joe Paterno's autobiography and GWB's "Decisions"...got the first 10 seasons of ER on DVD annnddd I got a new camera that I saw on Oprah's Favorite things and spoiled brattily said "I WANT THAT CAMERA" and that's the last I ever thought about it till I opened it yesterday, although I often thought (and said) I HATE MY CAMERA. It's an amazing awesome camera that totally intimidates me and I feel like I need to take a class to learn how to take really good pictures. I can't even figure out how to focus it. Insert eye rolling. JeNNiFeR, are you listening?

I got my husband a Keurig cofee maker which he really loves and slippers and a stupid tool thing for fixing guitars and a new frying pan and a DVD and a video game. Jared got a bunch of Marine stuff (sweatshirt, watch, posters, books)and new sled and a gun that you put snow in and it makes a snowball you can then shoot.

Roxy the dog got a bunch of new toys and she takes great joy in flaunting them around in front of the cats and chasing them away from her stash. The cats reveled in the wrapping paper and ribbons.

Hubby and son are currently playing hockey on Xbox while I'm holed up in bed with the cats and a bad back.

Sorry about your back Katt. I can sympathize.

I got new slippers and a nightshirt. A couple of hoodies, a t shirt type top with a foil butterfly on it. A knife sharpener. My gift to hubby was a couple of his pictures from when he was in the Navy, matted and framed along with a framed picture of the ship he served on, with original uniform patches and some other stuff like that. Older son got a nice 22 piece knife set with the butcher block holder. He mentioned he had no decent knives last time he was here. It was really funny because he gave me the knife sharpener, LOL! there's some other stuff that will hopefully be opened next week when the step daughter and family get here. They were supposed to some today but we are currently having a blizzard.

a Kindle, a hoodie from my son's college, some kitchen stuff, slippers, jammie pants, a scarf, gloves, and a Kindle cover.

I got hubs some tools and gadgets he circled for me in catalogs, plus stocking stuffers. The boys got him a t-shirt and a MN Wild hoodie.

Mark got an iPod touch, some nice earbuds, a t-shirt, a hoodie, cash and some small stocking stuffers.

Chris got a french press, a coffee grinder, a pyrex cup for heating water in the microwave, some coffee, a coffee mug/thermos set (do you see a theme here?), some tea bags, moccasins, an XBox game and some small stocking stuffers. (Looks like he made out better than Mark but hey, those iPods are expensive!)

I don't get stressed when I get lost. I just turn around and find my way there. Hubby thought I could really use one, though.

I got a sock set of double pointed needles, a book on how to make stuffed animals out of socks and gloves, Beauty and the Beast DVD, fuzzy socks, a $30 gift card to JoAnn's from my kids, and an origami swan that Matt made for me.

Hubby got me a flat tv/dvd combo for the bedroom to replace the big bulky one I had and some of my favorite lotions/perfumes from Origins (mmm... ginger!)

I got him toys! While at Disney World, every time we went in a store, he stared longingly at the monorail playsets and said he always wanted one as a kid. Thanks to some help from Susan (the Disney wonder!), I was able to call and get the set shipped from the park. He was surprised and super happy! There is now a monorail circling the Christmas tree that welcomes us to Walt Disney World when you push a little button. :D

We got awesome clothes, movies, Wii games, books, gift cards, kitchen items and such from family. The dog got some cute outfits and toys.

Best of all, though, was my dad (still getting used to life after his stroke) saying that his best gift was getting to be there at home with us. And a voice mail this morning from my 3 year old niece saying, "Thank you for my toys! I love you!" :)

Hubby finished the floor in the soon-to-be nursery and put together the crib (a gift from my dad). Yay!

I'm trying to post a picture, but I never do this so please cut me some slack if I don't post it correctly. ;)

Poor M@. DH's family just doesn't 'get' him. BIL the priest (!!) gave him a hookah and tobacco. Other BIL got him a lock picking set and a bottle opener (he doesn't drink). MIL got him a pullover windbreaker (that he'd never wear). M@ just looks at me in wonder, like what planet are these people from?

Glad he was happy with what we got him - we got an iPhone in Nov as his phone was flaking out while texting, but he pays the fees. So also got him some pj bottoms and slipon shorts with pockets for the dorm midnight bathroom runs when he needs to have his key with him. Got him some sea monkeys (his request a few months ago) and a Groupon for a massage - he's not sure he wants to go alone! I told him I'd go with him.

I got a new Coach purse (via great deal on ebay- I found it, won it, gave it to hubs to wrap), slippers, some fun kitchen gadgets and 2 cookbooks for bread (Panera and another) from hubs, a nice sweater set from MIL and weird stuff from BIL. M@ got me a card game (that I already had - he was so upset!), a bubbling volcano for the fish tank and catnip for the pooties, and a ton of hot wheels for his dad - cute!
