Subject: disturbing capital murder trial here

in a nutshell, woman, 2 months pregnant, had an Order of Protection against her boyfriend. he violated it once. one day he violated it again and she was on the phone with 911 for 8 minutes when the dispatcher heard screams. the way i read it, the cops were just pulling up and *heard screams and saw a door slam."

They couldn't break the door down. they looked thru the window and saw a man stabbing her like bloody murder. they broke the window and fired shots. one ricocheted and hit her in the head. killed her.

my question is: how did the killer get in? i can only speak from personal experience, but when i was being abused and had a restraining order out on someone, i kept my doors and windows tightly locked. It's taken me YEARS to open up this dusty old house and let some fresh air in; i can even go to sleep and leave the windows open now; i've come a long way. but that's another story for another day (not). i wonder how the HELL did he get in???? then dead bolt the door so the cops couldn't even break it down?

that poor woman. he had already slashed an artery and she would have bled to death, BUT the cops were there to maybe have stopped the bleeding and save her life IF one of them hadn't shot her in the head. Medical Examiner said so. whoops.

you know that officer has to live with this the rest of HIS life.

Yesterday the jury found the boyfriend guilty of first degree murder. Tonight they decided on life in prison instead of death row.

here's the story from the local news. the text about the testimony is most interesting. the video is just about how important it is for women to get that piece of paper that can't stop a bad guy, but can get the cops there quick.

sorry to bring you such a horrific story, but had to *talk* to somebody about it.

and how the bloody hell DID he get in her door and the cops couldn't? and they just started firing thru a WINDOW? didn't hit the guy but accidently shot the victim in the head. my sympathies go out to EVERYONE involved and their families :-(

A guy I used to work with murdered his wife. He broke into her apartment while she was gone for a weekend through a THIRD FLOOR AIR VENT. With some booze and a rifle. He waited for 3 days for her to come home.
