and the halloween decorations in the basement are all mildewed, will have to be thrown away :-(

the new hot water tank is sweet.

i got re-roofed last summer after a hail storm damaged me and all my neighbors. my home owners insurance paid thank god. still had to pay a big honkin' deducible, so i know about interviewing roofers and finding the right one for the right price. found someone i liked, hired him, the crew of mexicans came out at dawn and worked until dark. banged out this HUGE roof in one day. what could have been a nightmare, in fact, turned out to be quite entertaining. they no habla englais. but they sang all day and apparently were cracking jokes because i heard a long of singing and laughing over the drums of the bang bang bang. at one point they were even nail gunning in rhythm. bang.... bang... ba ba bang.......
