It started when she was 16. She would pace the house, and could do it for hours. The last few months, she'd get herself stuck in places and bark for help. It could be under the coffee table, a dining room chair, and once in a corner of the kitchen where all she had to do was turn around. The last month, I'd be freeing her from her imaginary trap almost every five minutes.

I asked the vet for something to calm her down. She prescribed Diazepam (Valium). Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. It's worth a shot, though. Good luck!

Talk to your vet about trying Anipryl. Have they tried Proin for the incontinence?

But first- have them check her blood pressure- high blood pressure can cause confusion.

just stopping by :P

Make sure they check her for diabetes! That was Maddie's first symptom, peeing everywhere. Also the wandering around was low blood sugar once.

Niki, hope you don't mind that I added to your post. You are the woman when it comes to animals, but it just sounds a little like my Maddie - who is still with us, 14 yrs old now and still diabetic, blind but doing okay.
