1. How was your week? Not too bad; got a set of Land's End teak chairs but the hardware was faulty so had to make 2 trips to Sears to return. Great product but shoddy hardware! Very unexpected.

2. Any plans for the weekend? Dinner out tonight with hubs, tomorrow is 16yo niece's bday party - kinda cool, she wants baby stuff as presents to give to a charity. Then hope to see Real Pirates at the Science Center Sunday.

3. What's the biggest or most challenging thing you have ever made with your own hands? Probably this one big clay vase/jug I made at the Art Institute of Chicago when in HS, and then having to take it home on the bus! VERY heavy.

4. What shows are you looking forward to watching in the new fall tv season? The usual; House, NCIS, Lie to Me

5. Seen any good movies lately? I get movies via our library (free for a week) - I usually have at least 40 on the list and get them as they come up; sometimes months. Finally watched The Cider House Rules - great movie. Tried a couple like Brooklyn's Finest or Hot Tub Time Machine for 1/2 hour or so and stopped - not my cup of tea! I liked A Single Man. Still waiting for the last season of MI-5 to come out on DVD... Just got into George Gently; not bad, and waiting on the next Midsomer Murders and also Pie in the Sky (like BBC productions, obvoiusly!)

That's how we get ours now, too. Couldn't tell you the last time we paid to rent something! I have some new releases on hold I need to go pick up today. I have been watching a lot of TV on DVD from the library - currently Mad Men. I love the library!

1. How was your week?
Very busy! School shopping, school starting, band starting, picking out and picking up the trumpet, donating blood, finding lost cell phone for hubby, walking a lot. Fighting with Best Buy aabout our brand new TV that doesn't work right... For the first time in a very long time, I'm really psyched that it's Friday!

2. Any plans for the weekend?
None, whatsoever.

3. What's the biggest or most challenging thing you have ever made with your own hands?
Errr, my son? I guess I didn't use my hands for that. Heh. I guess I'll say the 50th anniversary scrapbook I made for my parents in 2007.

4. What shows are you looking forward to watching in the new fall tv season?
Survivor!

5. Seen any good movies lately?
I liked Inception, although I kept forgetting what "level" they were REALLY on. We keep WANTING to go to the movies and there's nothing out I want to see. Until we get our TV/Blue Ray situation sraightened out, I'm not renting anything.

1. How was your week?
Good. Busy.

2. Any plans for the weekend?
Dinner with a friend tonight. Volunteer work tomorrow morning. Hair appt and mani/pedi tomorrow afternoon. Cleaning tomororrow night. Church/baptism followed by brunch with family/friends on Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon...chill.

3. What's the biggest or most challenging thing you have ever made with your own hands?
Hmmm...I can't think of anything. I've crocheted afghans, but that wasn't particularly challenging...just "big" in a time-consuming way.

4. What shows are you looking forward to watching in the new fall tv season?
I haven't really been into any shows lately...except The Amazing Race. When's the next one?

5. Seen any good movies lately?
Unfortunately, no! I can't remember the last movie I saw. That needs to change.

1. How was your week?

Productive, quiet, sane, positive.

2. Any plans for the weekend?

Yard work, washing the car, and spending time with my parents.

3. What's the biggest or most challenging thing you have ever made with your own hands?

Aside from my former career, I'd say my upcoming novel, "The Cages of Marionneaux." At 1200 pages, that was quite an undertaking.

4. What shows are you looking forward to watching in the new fall tv season?

"Live! From Hollywood, this is Dancing with the Stars!"

5. Seen any good movies lately?

Not any new movies. But, I recently saw a Vivien Leigh film called "The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone" by Tennessee Williams which was very good.

2. Any plans for the weekend?
Walk to the Farmers market in the morning, Dinner and games with friends, maybe a trip to Lake Michigan on Sunday.

3. What's the biggest or most challenging thing you have ever made with your own hands?
The Christmas tree that I decorated for the festival of trees. I hand strung over 150 feet of beads!

4. What shows are you looking forward to watching in the new fall tv season?
I am currently loving this season of Project Runway. Working second shift, and working many weekends, I don't see much network stuff.

5. Seen any good movies lately?
I love the old adaptations of Dickens books, and I saw some of them on TCM the other day. Oliver Twist, Great Expectations are my favorites.

...Bleak House, with Gillian Anderson? I liked it a lot - saw that this summer. And if you haven't tried MI-5, it's one to get hooked on. I also liked Hetty Wainthropp, and Rosemary and Thyme, and Ballykissangel (but we stopped after they killed off our favorite) and Hamish Macbeth...also A Touch of Frost...

1. How was your week?
Absolutely crazy busy at work and I think I went out every night this week. Whew!

2. Any plans for the weekend?
Not much. The man is out of town so I may just chill by the pool. Literally chill as it's supposed to get much cooler this weekend.

3. What's the biggest or most challenging thing you have ever made with your own hands? Made? I don't know. Probably something I baked or cooked.

4. What shows are you looking forward to watching in the new fall tv season? The return of my usual shows like Dexter, Sons of Anarchy, Big Love, etc. Might check out Hawaii Five-O for the cool cast.

5. Seen any good movies lately? I'm waiting for the "serious" fall films, but I did enjoy Despicable Me in 3D and I saw a couple of good ones OnDemand like A Single Man with Colin Firth.

1. How was your week?
omg I worked an extra 8 so far ... BIG things are happening. I can't say what--since we are the last peeps who hear...but BIG.

2. Any plans for the weekend?
Plans are there, but remain to be seen. I've been helping two friends introduced on FB who want to see what each other look like IRL...Last week one had to bail. The other is making noise about backing out tomorrow -- I think/hope he's just being coy, tho'.

3. What's the biggest or most challenging thing you have ever made with your own hands?
A full size wool blanket, in horrible burnt orange and white (school colors) that took 4 years (not continuously by any means) to complete.

4. What shows are you looking forward to watching in the new fall tv season?

Arrrgghh...anything but more reruns of Everybody Hates Chris, Will & Grace, or Malcolm ITM. I've seen them ALL a dozen times, this summer!

Have to say (ironically) that other "M" show, Modern Family is my favorite right now, so you just know it will get canceled. [Maybe not this time, I think ABC smells a winner.] MF, and 30 Rock have become faves, along with DH, and Bros and Hos, but those two frustrate me with all their drama, and way too long for resolution!

5. Seen any good movies lately?

Why yes I have. :) I've been depending on Netflix with the dearth of TV

Thanks for all ya'll's great answers! :)

1. How was your week?
Somewhat brutal in the work category. Too many late nights editing photos did a number on my sleep, so I took Friday off.

2. Any plans for the weekend?
Went out with some of Marty's work friends last night. Fun group. It was 80s hair band night at the bar we went to. Definitely amusing. The rest of the weekend will be spent doing as little as possible!!

3. What's the biggest or most challenging thing you have ever made with your own hands?
In college, we had to take a 2D piece of art and make it into something 3D using our class kits. I made "Nude Descending a Staircase" out of hot glue and popsicle sticks. That took forever, but it was fun.

4. What shows are you looking forward to watching in the new fall tv season?
Big Bang, How I Met Your Mother, Destination Truth... There are some new ones that I see ads for and think I want to see, but can never remember what they are. D'oh.

5. Seen any good movies lately?
Really liked Inception. Watched When Harry Met Sally on DVD from the library, as well as The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus. That was weird.

5. Seen any good movies lately?
Well we rented a few in Atlantic City:
The Bucket list ~ very good
Avatar ~ really good!
Stepbrothers ~ blah!!!
John warned me about the last one, cuz I really do not like Will Ferrell, but our choices were small.
So we ditched it and went to the casino....
We the last of the big spenders won $32.50(me) and $10.00 (John)in the penny slot machines. The night before I won $50.00 and he won $18.00! Woohoooo!!!
I just liked the idea that I was taking some of Donald Trump's money home with me! :-D
