Just back from Florida and have some comments on this string. Congratulations for goals achieved by any dancer (wins or personal bests) are valid on this board. I only ask that you please sign your posting so that the one congratulated knows who is sending best wishes their way. Secondly, even though I do not allow my daughter to read the board regularly, I do show her any positive comments regarding her achievements. I feel that this helps her to know that she is supported in her efforts not only by her parents and teachers but also by our studio community as a whole (and sometimes even (as is the case with the ECR board) by her fellow competitors and their parents). We all need each other to help get through the good times that come our way in dance as well as the bad times. Thirdly, we must all remember that this board is used by parents and dancers from all levels in our studio (rec on up). I know that I have personally been told by these parents that they love to follow the achievements of our dancers who are privileged to attend majors and feises. These individuals do not necessarily see our children in person at the studio to congratulate them nor do they often even know who our children are to see them. Thus, personal congratulations (while they are super!) are not always possible and this message board can be their only way to celebrate with us. Thanks
