Partiamo dal presupposto che Totti puo' stare simpatico o antipatico ma comunque è un dato di fatto che attualmente è l'unico fuoriclasse di livello che l'Italia dispone.
L'unico al suo pari potrebbe essere Cassano (NON DIMENTICATE GLI EUROPEI DEL 2004!!!) solo che come risaputo è una testa di cazzo...
I fatti secondo un mio punto di vista si possono riassumere come segue:

Dopo l'infortunio alla caviglia pre-mondiale Francesco si è fatto veramente un culo tanto per recuperare ed esserci ai mondiali di Germania, erano in tanti che lo davano per sicuro assente ma a tempo record è riuscito ad esserci.
Purtroppo la forma era quello che era e si è visto... alche' a Totti romano, orgoglioso, a volte presuntuoso , sempre al centro dell'attenzione in un ambiente come la Roma non è andato giu' il fatto di essere stato considerato l'anello debole della spedizione mondiale (ricordo un 6 stirato dato dalla Gazzetta come voto complessivo, il piu' basso di tutti) se insieme a cio' aggiungi inoltre un suo orgoglio personale e un non brillantissimo rapporto con Donadoni (secondo me un fallito prima della partenza) si capisce il perche' non sia piu' tornato in azzurro.
Comunuqe per dovere di cronaca lui non ha mai chiesto impieghi part-time...
