The Mars Volta have announced that they are in the studio recording their fourth full-length album, The Bedlam In Goliath, with engineer Robert Carranza (Los Lobos, Jack Johnson). The Mars Volta's very own Omar Rodriguez-Lopez is once again acting as producer on the new record, just as he did with 2006's Amputechture and 2005's Frances The Mute. The band, famous for engagingly energetic live performances and their surprising mix of musical influences (rock, jazz, punk, Latin), is laying down tracks at Hollywood's Ocean Way Recording, and aiming for a fall release on Universal.
