Re-reading is an important strategy to consolidate your learning and understanding of a given text. That's the idea behind the tasks proposed here.
This is your next task, which you must deliver until June, 8th :
1) observe the figures (numbers) in the text and convert the measures to the equivalents in our metric system (they can be approximated), in Portuguese:
qual o tamanho da piscina?
qual o tamanho e o peso de uma baleia adulta?
e quanto mede um elefante?
quanto ela come por dia e quanto cabe em seu estômago?
2) scan the text and try to find compound-complex adjectives, like the one below:
“newborn gray whale calf”
- ‘calf’ is a noun and the words that precede it are (or are functioning as) adjectives;
There are five more like this; (look for the following nouns: program, specialists, tube, pool and whale).
