John Christopher Tuffield joined the Training Ship Mercury on 2nd September 1937 and left on 18th October 1939. His Ship's number was 2838 and according to the records he left to join the Royal Navy as an Artificer Apprentice. For our records I would be most grateful if you could provide me with some details of his career and life after he left Mercury.
