~The sun starts its sink into the horizon. You walk along the pier with it's lose planks that stretch it's width would creek as you walked along. The smell of the sea assaulted you here strong, its sounds lapped at the aged wood. Shadows here and there where most kind as to keep from your eyes from those things of humanity one of good heart can live without.

You hear a voices, cat calls of "likes ta get some of that" , laughter, as well as sounds of creaking planks matched your own pace, a quick look back brings "I thought I saw" to mind.. but nothing there. You are met by a huge sailor who gives you the once over, ask you your business.. and once the right words spoken.. he nods as in gesture to get in the row boat.

No words are spoken, and you notice the man keeps his eyes on you as he rows out into the mist filled bay.. a shear curtain of white bars visage of what's ahead. Into the mist to the point you cannot see the pier any longer, yet ahead the familiar lapping of wave against wood is heard. A few moments more and the dark shape of tall wall emerges.. a ships hull.

"Ahoy" there is heard and the man who rows your boat replies "Billy boy with the captain's guest in tow" then "well met.. bring her alongside" came the voice from above again. A rope ladder lowered as Billy boy steadies the row boat.. he gesture's you to go on up, and taking advantage of the situation.. places hands in a place on your body that was not needed save for his perverse pleasure.

Two men at the top of ladder help you up with a "welcome aboard" given. "follow me" is spoken by one while the other helps Billy boy. Your led across the deck still shrouded in the white mist, you ear to jump as a tall sailor almost runs into you out of nowhere. You side step the one man who watches you.. even when you glance back.. his eyes follow.

Your led to a door.. a look up to see men walking in and out of the mist to a railing overhead. Those men look down at you before disappearing again. "through the door and down the short hall, door at the end give knock, it will be the captain's voice you'll hear". you turn to thank him and your to late as the mist devourers his form as he walks away.

The door creeks open.. the hall with dim light and a look at your feet you see the tentacles of the mist slither in with you. Two doors one on the right and left, a set of stairs led down.. just beyond them the hall ends in door. The door itself of fine workmanship.. no sound within can be heard.

Inside after the captain has given you welcome with.. "Well? ar ye go'n ta spend all day out there.. ar has ye nae figured out 'ow ta open door?" . You see a room that could be taken out of any "Castle and Gardens" catalog. A vast room with a row of colored glass windows lining the back, Under them a large bed with the finest silk sheets. In the center of the room a large table with twin lamps on either end.
Plates and utensils lay atop a greenish table cloth. To one side of the room a desk covered in books, charts, and empty mugs strewn about. Beyond that a modesty screen stands as well as a standing mirror on pivotal base. Along the other side of the room a row of chest across its length, a few spilling their contents.. gold, silver, and bolts of fine silks can be seen.

The captain kicks out a chair at the table for you, his attention is to the map laid out over the table.. "Speak.. I nae 'ave all day" ~
