I want to take this time to remember former President Ronald Wilson Reagan, who we recently lost, at age 93. The reason I want to mention this and to salute Ronald Reagan here in the Rock Kandy forum is because his reign in the Whitehouse was during the 1980s (elected in 1980 and and 2nd term ending in January 1989), an era which most of the music and some of the pop-culture which Rock Kandy covers and represents. The 1980s have been coined as the Reagan Era or the Reagan Years. Reagan will be fondly remembered as the Great Communicator, one with a fine sense of humor, and a man who restored the pride back in America. It�s a time where the state of the nation improved and where the energy is reflected in much of the music (glam metal and more) which is now honored by Rock Kandy and the many fans who support the efforts. The connection here is that both Reagan, and Rock Kandy are iconic of the 1980s in spirit and energies.
Ronald Reagan, we salute, honor and remember you and your contribution to American History.
