Back in the 80's at a Motley Crue show, I remember for a few select songs, hot girls coming on stage to entertain a bit while the band was playing. Here last night in Wayne, at first it seemed like a good idea calling up ladies for "Girls School", whether the girls were "Hot" or not. (Hey, you work with what you got) But as the night went on, more and more "drunks" came staggering up, just looking silly. Now, most weren't up there performing,(although there were a few, the guitar players girlfriend and a few others) but the rest just standing and jumping around yelling to their friends, "Hey, look at me" Even a few old ladies, (somebody's mom) were up there. Now just so you know, I'm a MALE, not some jealous female who wishes they looked hot too or something. When some hot girls get up and go on stage and "table dance" or something related, it looks cool!Cmon up, you'll be always welcome! That's what the whole rock scene is about! But if you go up there, and do nothing, yet try and stay on stage all night, it gets kind of old. Additionally,if you look like you don't belong up there, it's REALLY hard to look at. It takes the attention away from the band, and if my attention has to be taken away from great rock music, it should be for a good reason, (the band does ask every night for a quick flash of breasts, eh?) not to watch a slob push her way in front of Ian and just stand there.
I observed one last quick note, that being in the field I wanted to share. People, equipment is expensive!!! I felt so sorry for the guitar player (sorry I forget his name, but the guy with the hot girlfriend there, stage right)that got his gear on the floor trampled over and over last night. I saw his frustration as he had to almost stand over his pedal and guard it from someone else kicking it. Ladies, these items are tuned and set for a reason, wake up, will you? Otherwise, great show! Tom ROCKS!
