Subject: Reserch Help

I am trying to find information for my father about the ships he served on during WW2. I have a copy of his British Seaman's Identity Card and some other papers from the National Archives.

Two ships mentioned in these papers are the Emp Gladstone and NTSTS Wallasy at this time I have been unable to find any information about these ships. I know he served on several other ships and was on two ships that were sunk during WW2. As my father is in his eighties now, his memory is not what it was, so I am trying to get together a history of his service in the Merchant Marine/Royal Navey for him and his grandchildren.

His Detail
DOB 3/2/28
BT 372/0801
Dis.A No R324257
Civilian Identity Card No Sea/316099

Many thanks for any help you may be able to give Hugh
