.Owen tilted his head to the side a tad, smiling at her 'promise'. His fingers gently toyed with her own as he slowly began to tell what he had never told another soul, "My future... To to ya the truth, I don't even know if I have one -- at all. I'd like to think that'll I'll be eating skittles and M&M's my whole life, but I don't think you can make a career out of that... I want to be something, anything... Anything that's not what I am now." He paused for a second, to collect his thoughts -- and his breath, "I don't know... I want to make a difference, do something that admirable, y'know? Have an impact on someone's life, other then my dog's. If you laugh at what I'm about to say, your gonna be tickled so bad you'll cry... I want to be a fire-fighter." A grin lit his features as he sort of trailed off, not really sure if he was sounding like an idiot, or something along those lines. "And I guess I'd want to be latched onto someone forever, with the whole marriage thing... And a family would work, to go along with that scenario. I want to prove to myself I could be a better parent then mine were. But it's all just dreams, anyway, I doubt I'll do it all... I process things slowly, and I hear that to be a fire-fighter, you've gotta have quick reflexes." Stopping there, his eyes turned upon they're clasped hands. Fuck, was it a good thing if you could feel you're heart-beat through your finger-tips?.
