Hep-B vaccines are usually good for 5 years after the 3rd injection (if I remembered correctly, the community health nurses usually have better idea than the doctors). However, it all depends on how much circulating antibody you have against Hep-B virus (HBsAb). Some people kept high titers of HBsAb well after 5 years (I have recently checked my HBsAb and it is still very positive, my last injection was like 12 years ago, so I don't need a booster shot)...

It all depends on your host-immune response to the vaccination, but, to be on the safe side, you should get the prescribed injections every 5 years as told, but again, it really varies from one person to another. If in doubt go check your titer with a doctor/registered community health nurse.
