Cold weather compromises your immune system... as the old Chinese saying "catching a cold"...

The exact mechanism behind was still under much debate but probably linked to various 2nd messenger systems. To be on the safe side, put on warm clothing when the weather turns chilly (I'm sure your mom has told you million times). :-)
