All I can say is, according to our source (BNF) the known contraindication and side effect profiles of finasteride / dutasteride are as follows,

Contra-indications

Dutasteride and finasteride are contra-indicated in women, children, and adolescents.
Side-effects

The side-effects of dutasteride and finasteride include impotence, decreased libido, ejaculation disorders, and breast tenderness and enlargement.

You might find other literatures in the internet that state other side effects but we cannot say they are fully substantiated until our BNF has documented it in, so I cannot ascertain the claims.

Since the drug you are taking is harmful to unborn babies, even though you and your wife are not planning to have 2nd child, you 2 must take extra precaution so that your wife doesn't get pregnant accidentally when you are still taking finasteride. Good luck!
