The humans have taken over the wild lands and the Shana no longer have a place in the world. Rine is the last refuge for the wolf-dragon hybrids, the only place left in the world that humans have never touched. In the beginning, it seemed that only a few Shana had survived and the packs were small, our kind few and far between. The longer we stay, the more the rest of the Shana find their way here. We've begun to rebuild and have gained strength, our packs growing larger by the day.

There's a downside to our new paradise, though. When the Shana were spread out over the world, they have to worry about the faiths conflicting. Now, though, with good and evil so close together, tension has sprung up between the packs. The Seer has been slain and a rebellion is building against the evil packs, formed by both the neutral and good faiths. Every day the dark wolves grow more daring, though, and it's becoming harder for us to stand against them. With the death of the Seer, her powers were released on the lands...and the darker of us seem to be blessed beyond the rest.

Only one female, a newcomer to these lands, stands between the faiths. She was forseen by Sancia, the murdered prophet, and her powers are unknown.
