Subject: Cause & Effect - A Fey/Sidhe RPG




Forget everything you knew about faeries...


The Seelie Court may pretend to be the stuff of dreams and wishes, but don't let that fool you. They are more devious than the monstors and creatures of darkness in the Unseelie Court.

For thousands of years the Sidhe have been at war and it resulted in them being exiled from Europe. Thomas Jefferson invited them to the United States, and all the fey had to agree to some rules. They gave up a lot of their power and agreed to peace. That peace is part truth and part illusion. The goblins are now at peace with the Unseelie Court, while the two Sidhe Courts are very much at war. It has become less violent, and there are no longer bloody wars. Instead it is duels, assassinations and ambushes in unprotected ground.

The Queen of the Seelie Court and King of the Unseelie Court recognise the danger of decieving the humans. One small mistake and the humans could find out that the Courts are still at war. Peace must be sought for the sake of all of faerie. The USA was the last Court to accept the Fey without demanding that they gave up their culture. Discussions were held and a decision made; the Queen's youngest daughter and the King's only son would become engaged, with hope that a heir would be produced.

A group of seven Guards have been sent with the Princess, to keep her safe outside the Seelie Court and inside the Unseelie Court. All of them are aware that they will never be welcome back at the Seelie Court. There are mixed reactions from both the Courts and there are some that would do anything to stop the alliance from taking place...


Other information


The RPG has just been opened and we currently have nine members. There are still a lot of characters needed, including the King and Prince of the Unseelie Court, and Captains of the Queen's and Princess' Guard. A list of accepted characters and details about these characters can be found on the accepting page. Cause & Effect is based on Laurell K Hamilton's Merry Gentry series but uses an original plot, setting and characters. If the RPG appeals to you please take a look at the website before making a decision. The website contains full information about the RPG, including all relevant information from the books for those who have not read the Merry Gentry series.
