Subject: Beautiful 701 Chauncey Street

701 Chauncey is a very rare thing: an almost completely intact example of Bushwick’s ornate frame houses, its wooden moldings and cornices and details in crisp shape. Look at that awesome Juliet balcony above the door! Speaking of the door, it’s newer and ugly, but with some scouting for one of the same period and shape (or maybe buying a matching one off a neighbor?) you could bring this house back to its original splendor. Unfortunately, we can’t see any interiors, and while the price is steeper than normal, the house is gigantic at 4000sqft.
