Subject: Bash vs Opinion

I think something is being missed in all this.
As "businesses", Directors and Vendors are open to the same types of opinions/reviews both good and bad as any other business. Don't you ever tell a friend about a restaurant or salon or store you like or don't? Same thing. Sorry, but that's not bashing. If they don't like being open to criticism, they should stop being in business.

Bashing is saying a child is ugly or a Mom is a witch or something.
Bashing is also slamming unknown posters as being someone they may or may not be (who really knows?) and smearing their reputations.
If you like a system, go to it. If you like a vendor, use that person. However don't slam into people who have a different opinion than yours.

No one has the guts to say things out loud for fear of getting a bad reputation, but everyone knows all of these things are said anyway, just not publicly.

If a director or system or vendor is considered by many to be "iffy", I for one want to know.
It's one thing if it's clear there are only one or two upset people and that should be taken with a grain of salt, but when many people share an opinion there is usually a reason....
Over time I know I could have saved some money if I had known what others know but didn't say.

True however, if are we allowed to state our opinion then we should be allowed to state how we feel as far standing up for those who upset with a vendor or pageant! You cant rely on one or two people and thier thoughts and opinions. What is the difference between different people and what they thought? I see only poeple blowing off steam and taking to the top. why? That is the major concern. I think what is happening, were seeing the same poeple at pageants, over and over getting upset when he or she doesnt win or progress to like a supreme or something, we have to remeber it's a beauty pageant. hello! No matter what, we will have issues because we all think out child or children are perfect and most beautiful. If people on this board stop acting like ass's, then we could really see the real issue and that's poor sportmanship. I see it everyime at pagents, some is always mad and then takes it out on their child and stops like a 2 year old and gets in theis board. Who is to say, one person could be doing all this crap or two? I see the same people bashing over and over again and goes back to that pageant and does it again? Does that makes sense to anyone?

But the thing is, when someone states an opinion, people do not just say their conflicting opinion (or agree of thats the case). They jump all over the poster. Its not always personal. I am not an idiot. I know some moms hate a pageant because their prescious baby did not win. But sometimes people have just stated REAL concerns with a system. I think we should be able to do this and not get bashed or say "Oh someone discovers voy boards" Or assume its a trouble maker. These things cost a fortune and sharing concerns keep the directors on their toes. Defending a director on here is not going to earn you bonus points at the next round. They don't have a clue who you even are.
