Stupid Question time? Good. Here goes:

Any drummers out there know if there is any significance in the difference in how a drummer holds the drumsticks?

I've noticed some tend to hold one 'underhand' - where as others just grip both straight around. Is this simply a personal preference or a matter of technique?

Just one of those odd Mary curiosities that began, oh, about 30-some years ago watching a certain Scottish Drummer...

[> Subject: Great question! I know from high school band days, we were taught the "correct" way was the right hand over and the left hand under. Maybe some don't like to follow rules, LOL! Hoping someone else can give a better answer. :-)
