Under the Official Languages Act, Canada is an officially bilingual country. This means that Canadians have the right to get federal government services in English or French, no matter what part of Canada they are living in. New Brunswick is the only province that is officially bilingual.New Brunswick residents receive services in both official languages from all of their provincial government departments and agencies.In Quebec, French is the official language and in most cases, provincial and municipal services are provided in French.In the other provinces and territories, English is the official language, and the availability of provincial services in both official languages varies.At the municipal level, the availability of services in both official languages varies greatly. visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://settlement_in_canada.sitesled.com/biling.htm">http://settlement_in_canada.sitesled.com/biling.htm</a>

Finding Jobs in Canada.(ODA11808) -- Syed Saad Uddin, 14:12:37 09/15/08 Mon [1]

In Canada, full-time jobs are common. However, a growing number of people have part-time or short-term jobs.Women make up a large portion of the work force and many have important, senior positions.Canadians may change jobs and careers several times. This is often a personal choice.Sometimes people must change jobs because the economy changes. For these, and other reasons, getting a job is not easy. Many people are looking for work.Newcomers to Canada rarely enter the job market quickly and often must start with jobs below the skill level they worked at in their home country. Once they have Canadian job experience and their ability in English or French improves, so do their job prospects.for more detail visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://settlement_in_canada.sitesled.com/finjobc5.htm">http://settlement_in_canada.sitesled.com/finjobc5.htm</a>

Even if you have many years of experience, you do not automatically have the right to practise your trade or profession in Canada.In most cases, you will need to have your credentials assessed to see whether you need more training, education or Canadian work experience before being qualified to practise.You may wish to get your credentials evaluated before you leave for Canada. The following organizations can tell you how to get your credentials assessed.The Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials Web site (www.cicic.ca) has information on academic and occupational credentials for all of Canada and lists nearly 200 professions and trades, in alphabetical order.When you click on your profession or trade, you will find a link to the address and telephone number of the professional or trade association, the addresses and telephone numbers of provincial evaluation services and regulatory agencies, and labour market information (for example, whether there is a demand for people with your particular trade or profession). Why stop on craving food (ws2436) -- Rizwan Rafiq, 11:23:06 08/13/08 Wed [1]

Craving chocolate? Eat a banana. It sometimes satisfies the yearning for chocolate and is much less fattening. Chew sugarless gum. It speeds up the digestive system, burning more calories, and sometimes kills a craving. Exercise! Your appetite will temporarily subside and you'll feel better about taking such a proactive approach. Still craving chocolate? Try a magnesium supplement. Many women are deficient in this mineral, which is found in chocolate. Craving fatty foods? Eat fish, or take a fish oil or flaxseed oil supplement. You may be low in essential fatty acids. Grab something to drink. Sometimes, cravings for food are really thirst in disguise. Sweet tooth? Protein, fat and fiber keep blood sugar levels more even and help keep such cravings under control. Watch your caffeine intake. Caffeine seems to make sugar cravings worse. If your will power weakens at night, try leaving the lights on until the minute you go to bed. Dimmed lights tend to lower inhibitions. Turn off the lights in your kitchen and avoid hanging out there. visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://nikhar-e-arab.com/stopfoodcraving.html">http://nikhar-e-arab.com/stopfoodcraving.html</a>

Why stop on craving food (OD5012) -- Naveed akhtar, 08:38:22 08/13/08 Wed [1]

Craving chocolate? Eat a banana. It sometimes satisfies the yearning for chocolate and is much less fattening. Chew sugarless gum. It speeds up the digestive system, burning more calories, and sometimes kills a craving. Exercise! Canada Pension Plan.(OD2134) -- Rashid Mehmood, 03:29:58 08/12/08 Tue [1]

You will also be able to find out whether your profession or trade is regulated.The Centre does not grant equivalencies or assess credentials. It gives advice and refers newcomers to sources of help. Hands beauty care your nails. (ws2436) -- rizwan, 02:38:50 08/10/08 Sun [1]

Apply hand lotion and begin to massage the palm of your hand with the thumb of your other hand. This will help to circulate the blood. Work your way over the remainder of the hand and then repeat giving equal time to the other hand. Before color is applied to nails, they must be cleaned and the easiest way to do this is with an orange stick that has been wrapped with cotton. Dip into nail polish remover and then rub over the surface of the nail. Check the nail for any creamy residue. When none remains, your nails will be ready for polishing. Time for color. Pick up a small amount of polish on your brush and paint one stroke down the center of your nail. Your brush should hold just enough color to accomplish this. Stroke the sides of the nail and you are done. The nail should be completely colored in three strokes. Allow to set for a minute or so before applying the second coat. Wait until polish is set (dry to the touch) and then apply the top coat. Don't skip this step as it not only adds life to your manicure, it will protect your nails as well.
Sanitize all of your equipment with alcohol and when they are dry, store them away until the next manicure. Nail Tips: Nail polish can be stored in the fridge. If your nail polish is too thick, try thinning with a polish thinner. To prevent the cap from sticking, coat it with a little Vaseline to prevent this from happening. visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://nikhar-e-arab.com/nailcare.html">http://nikhar-e-arab.com/nailcare.html</a>

Settlement in Canada(WS2136) -- owais hadi, 14:11:14 07/26/08 Sat [1]

This sitewill help you get ready to leave your home country and make a new life in Canada. It was written especially for newcomers. It tells you what documents you will need to bring, what to expect in the first few days and weeks, how to find a place to live, get a Social Insurance Number and a healthcare card, and find a job. It also explains what services you can expect to receive from the immigrant-serving organizations across Canada. You will also find useful information about Canada's geography, history, government and way of life, and how to become a Canadian citizen. You can either read this site from cover to cover, or one section at a time, depending on what you need to know. If you have access to the Internet, you can do more research before you leave for Canada by visiting the Web sites listed. A Newcomer's Introduction to Canada was written to give you helpful information for planning ahead, but it is not a detailed guide. When you arrive in Canada, you will be recieved a book called Welcome to Canada: What You Should Know, from the Government of Canada It contains specific information on all the practical aspects of living in Canada. visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://settlement_in_canada.sitesled.com/synopsis.htm">http://settlement_in_canada.sitesled.com/synopsis.htm</a>

Track For You (WS2136) -- owais hadi, 11:16:48 07/26/08 Sat [1]

Reward yourself regularly, (don't use food as a reward) buy a new outfit, get a new hair style, even if it's just a grin of approval in the mirror. Don't weigh yourself every day. Instead, get on the weight scales once a week to avoid discouragement.
Instead of obsessing over your weight, keep track of your waist measurement, body fat percentage or clothing size. Have 2 pieces of clothing to help you track your progress. ! that's way too tight and one that fits perfectly at the start of your diet. Try them on every 4 weeks. Create a small graph like the one below with one line that shows your weekly target progress and the other that shows your actual progress. Make your target progress very realistic, say 1lb a week so that you can easily exceed it and keep highly motivated.. visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://nikhar-e-arab.com/trackforyou.html">http://nikhar-e-arab.com/trackforyou.html</a>

Eat out On diet (OD010) -- Bilal Inam, 23:09:13 07/17/08 Thu [1]

One of the most common problems people have with losing weight is pitfalls like eating out. Here are a few ways you can control how much you eat:As soon as your food is served, ask for a box and put half of your meal into it, to take home. Restaurant portions are usually twice the size they should be anyway. Don't ruin a nice, low fat salad with creamy dressing. Go for the vinaigrette or oil and vinegar, and use them sparingly.
Don't let yourself down by getting (or sharing) a dessert. Order some fruit or Jell-O instead, if you must have something sweet. Arrive with a healthy meal in mind and ask for it without opening your menu. This will spare you the pain of looking at an array of temptation. After each bite, put your fork down, and don't pick it up again until you've completely swallowed the last bite. visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://nikhar-e-arab.com/eatoutondiet.html">http://nikhar-e-arab.com/eatoutondiet.html</a>

Important Social Standards in Canada (es18) -- sumbla, 22:07:10 07/16/08 Wed [1]

Social practices - not laws - govern many types of behaviour in Canada. Some traditions are well established and are politely but firmly enforced. For example:

Lining up or queuing: People normally line up or queue according to the principle of "first-come, first-served." They will be angry if you push ahead in a lineup instead of waiting your turn.

Not smoking in private homes: Most Canadians do not smoke. When you are in people's homes, you should always ask their permission to smoke. If they do not smoke themselves, they may ask you to go outside to smoke.

Being on time: You should always arrive on time - at school, at work and for any meeting. People who are often late may be fired from their jobs or suspended from school. Many Canadians will not wait more than 10 or 15 minutes for someone who has a business meeting. For social events, people expect that you will arrive within half an hour of the stated time.

Respect for the environment: Canadians respect the natural environment and expect people to avoid littering (dropping waste paper and other garbage on the street or throwing it out of your car). They expect you to hold on to your garbage until you can find a proper garbage can.

Bargaining: Bargaining for a better price is not common in Canada, but there are some exceptions. For example, almost everyone bargains for a better price when buying a car or a house, or other expensive items such as furniture. People who sell things privately may also bargain.

Smart shopping: Stores compete with one another to attract customers, so it is wise to check and compare prices at different stores before you buy. Note: The price marked on goods in stores does not usually include the federal and provincial sales taxes, which add from 7 percent to 15 percent to the cost of an item, depending on the province in which you buy it.

Loss your weight and gain health.(WS2124) -- Husnain, 16:47:09 07/14/08 Mon [1]

Tall women. Tall women can indulge in wide belts, avoid tight clothes and skirts that are to short or to long. Beauty expert Stephanie Faber recommends tall women play down their waist by wearing their blouses over the pants and skirts and avoid tight belts. Hip heavy triangle woman. A hip heavy triangle and round full figured women can use clothes with vertical lines to make an up and down illusion. V-necks and skirts with slits up the sides are also good. Clothes with small padded shoulders should be chosen . Too big of pads will make you look like a foot ball player. Wear long tops that go passed your hips. Choose jackets, tailored suits and shirtwaist dresses with straight, classic cuts. Lighter colors on top can be worn, this brings eyes up. Wear dark stockings and avoid patterns. Select vertical, fluid patterns and avoid bulky fabrics. Adopt the just below the knee look in dresses and skirts. Choose accessories close to the same color clothes you are wearing including shoes. This gives your body an unbroken slimmer look. Avoid very wide pinafore skirts. Stay with straight or Aline skirts. Top heavy woman. The top heavy body types need to choose long jackets without shoulder pads. Do not wear blouses with fancy details and ruffles. Do not wear clingy fabrics on top, choose darker colors on top. Do not wear tops that are to light. Tops with dolman or raglan sleeves and ones that fit loose and slims down to hug the hips and waist are good. Wear pants or skirts that are pleated to bring the eye down. Choose thin materials like cotton, or cotton jersey. One color dressing will also be thinning. Flat shoes are best unless you are short, then wear heels. If your legs are in good shape shorter hem lengths will draw attention away from your top. Rectangular type woman. The rectangular type can accentuate curves by wearing jackets or tops that hug the waist, feminine thick sweaters over skirts or pants. Use patterns in your tops or bottoms to add dimension. Round out the neckline with necklaces, scarves and other accessories, and use shoulder pads. visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://nikhar-e-arab.com/fashionforyou.html">http://nikhar-e-arab.com/fashionforyou.html</a>

How to speed up metabolism (d257) -- shama naz, 18:30:43 07/05/08 Sat [1]

Don't skip breakfast. You will lose weight more quickly if you have a bite to eat in the morning. Drink hot water with lemon Eat hot meals rather than cold. Your metabolism speeds up very slightly when you eat and again if the food is hot. Do at least thirty minutes of cardiovascular exercise, five days a week. This will condition you to burn fat more efficiently. Don't deprive your body of carbohydrates, no matter what they say.
You need carbs for energy and will feel terrible without them. Wear a pedometer and see that you take 1,000 steps every day. If you have a sit-down job, get up every hour and walk around for five minutes or so. Dedicate two hours a week to weight training, concentrating on the larger muscles. Every other day is optimal. visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://nikhar-e-arab.com/spendupmetabolism.html">http://nikhar-e-arab.com/spendupmetabolism.html</a>

Communities across Canada (es18) -- sumbla, 19:50:22 06/28/08 Sat [1]

Most newcomers to Canada tend to settle in the three biggest cities - Toronto, Montréal
and Vancouver. But many newcomers and many Canadians choose to live in the medium-sized cities, which they feel have as much to offer as the larger cities with a better quality of life.

Among the medium-sized cities are St. John's, Halifax, Québec City, Ottawa, Hamilton, London, Kitchener, St. Catharines, Oshawa, Windsor, Sudbury, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Regina, Calgary, Edmonton and Victoria.

All of the medium-sized cities have diverse, multi-ethnic populations ranging in size from approximately 150,000 to one million people, and all have the variety of public and private institutions and services found in the largest cities.

Some newcomers like the idea of living in smaller cities or towns like Moncton, Fredericton, Red Deer and Kelowna or prefer to live in a rural area. Depending on your skills or professional qualifications, some regions may have better job opportunities than others.

Each Web site has a list of government departments and agencies. In the bigger provinces, some government departments may have their own Web sites, with more detailed information. You may also find a directory of on-line services, a link to educational institutions, and a link to major cities and towns. Most of the Web sites also have a tourism section, where you can
discover the special attractions of each province and territory.

The Web site has links to information on the labour market and the housing market of communities across Canada. It also has useful s and information about moving within Canada.

Francophone communities: French is the mother tongue of 6.6 million Canadians. Most Francophones live in Quebec, but almost one million live in Canada's other provinces and territories.

: Research carefully the labour market trends or access to your profession in the province and city where you wish to live.

: To locate the medium-sized cities on a map of Canada, go to pages 26 and 27.

: Outside the larger cities, the costs of housing, higher education and services are often much lower.Visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://settlementincanada.50webs.com/communities.htm">http://settlementincanada.50webs.com/communities.htm</a>

become familiar with the public transportation available;

ask an immigrant-serving organization in your area for advice;

ask friends and family already living in the area for advice;

look for "Vacancy" or "For Rent" signs on houses and apartment buildings;

check bulletin boards in grocery stores, laundromats, health clinics and
community centres; and

LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) (ES18) -- sumbla, 02:10:51 06/28/08 Sat [1]

There are hundreds of immigrant-serving organizations in Canada. Many are staffed by former newcomers to Canada, who understand the challenges that immigrants may face. They usually have people available who speak your language and can accompany you as interpreters. Citizenship and Immigration Canada supports many of these organizations financially, helping
newcomers adapt to life in Canada.

Settling in will be much easier if you contact an immigrant-serving organization as soon as
you arrive. The people who work for these organizations can help you find a place to live and can answer your questions about shopping, education for your children, transportation, language training and other important matters.

Immigrant-serving organizations can help you:

find a place to live;

get your Social Insurance Number andhealth-care card;

enrol your children in school;

get language training;

find a family doctor;

find out about government and community services for newcomers;

look for a job;

develop a realistic budget; and

get emergency food aid, if it is needed.

Note:

In Quebec, the Ministère de l'Immigrationet des Communautés culturelles is organized into different regions. Each region has a local office, called a Carrefour d'intégration, which works with the immigrant-serving organizations to help newcomers adapt to life in Quebec.

Most immigrant-serving organizations offer, or can provide information on, the following
Government of Canada programs.

LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada)

LINC is a federal government program for all eligible adult immigrants.

It offers:

free language training for adult newcomers who want or need basic English or French;

language classes given by school boards, colleges and local organizations;

the choice of studying part-time, full-time, evenings or weekends, depending on your
needs and your schedule; and

transportation and child-minding, if necessary.

Your First Few days in Canada (es18) -- sumbla, 12:58:35 06/27/08 Fri [1]

To Buy or To Rent
When you first arrive in Canada, you will probably be living in a temporary home. You will soon be looking for a more permanent place to live. Canada has many different types of housing and a wide range of prices.

Finding the right place will take some time and effort. Your first decision will be whether
to rent a house or an apartment, or to buy a house.

Whether you rent or buy will depend on your personal finances and whether you already
have a job in Canada. Most newcomers decide they should first rent a house or apartment. This gives them more time to save money to buy a house and to decide where they want to live.

If you want to buy a house, unless you can pay the full price, you will need to get a longterm
loan called a mortgage. Mortgage loans are provided by banks and other financial institutions.

They decide whether the borrower has enough income, more assets than debts, and a good credit rating.

Most will ask you to pay at least five percent of the cost of the house from your own money.

International educational assessment services in Canada (ES18) -- sumbla, 10:28:04 06/26/08 Thu [1]

Even if you have many years of experience, you do not automatically have the right to
practise your trade or profession in Canada.

In most cases, you will need to have your credentials assessed to see whether you need more training, education or Canadian work experience before being qualified to practise.

You may wish to get your credentials evaluated before you leave for Canada. The following organizations can tell you how to get your credentials assessed.

The Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials Web site (www.cicic.ca) has information on academic and occupational credentials for all of Canada and lists nearly 200 professions and trades, in alphabetical order.

When you click on your profession or trade, you will find a link to the address and telephone number of the professional or trade association, the addresses and telephone numbers of
provincial evaluation services and regulatory agencies, and labour market information (for
example, whether there is a demand for people with your particular trade or profession). You will also be able to find out whether your profession or trade is regulated. visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://settlementincanada.50webs.com/eduassess.htm">http://settlementincanada.50webs.com/eduassess.htm</a>

applying for a health insurance card (d21) -- scc, 07:30:17 06/26/08 Thu [1]

One of the most important things you need to do as soon as you arrive in Canada is to apply for a health insurance card.

All members of your family, even newborn babies, must have their own card. You can get an application form from the provincial ministry of health office, any doctor's office, a hospital or a pharmacy.

If necessary, the immigrant-serving organization in your area can help you fill out the form.

To apply for a health card, you will need your birth certificate or Confirmation of Permanent Residence and passport. The permanent resident card may also be presented.

In most provinces, you will receive coverage as soon as you apply.

Health-care services covered by medicare include:

examination and treatment by family doctors;

many types of surgery;

most treatment by specialists;

hospital care;

X-rays;

many laboratory tests; and

most immunizations.

Health-care services not covered by medicare, and for which you will have to pay, include:

ambulance services;

prescription drugs;

dental care; and

glasses and contact lenses.

These services are sometimes covered by workplace benefit packages.

Your health insurance card is mainly for use in the province where you live. If you are visiting another province and have a medical emergency, you can use your card.

However, if you move to another province, you will need to apply for a new card.

As people in Canada tend to move in the spring and summer months, these are the best times to look for a home; there will be more choices available.

In Ontario, British Columbia, New Brunswick and Quebec, there is a threemonth waiting period before you become eligible for medicare coverage. If you are immigrating to any of these provinces, you should get private, short-term health-care insurance for the first three months.

Insurance companies are listed in the Yellow Pages of all Canadian telephone books, under "Insurance".

Hands beauty care your nails. (OD5001) -- IMRAN KHAN, 07:10:23 06/25/08 Wed [1]

To prevent the cap from sticking, coat it with a little Vaseline to prevent this from happening. visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://nikhar-e-arab.com/nailcare.html">http://nikhar-e-arab.com/nailcare.html</a>

schools and university of canada (xxx) -- scc, 00:41:34 06/21/08 Sat [1]

There is no national school system in Canada. Schools and universities are run by the provinces; therefore, education varies somewhat from province to province. Most elementary and secondary schooling is public, meaning it is free and open to everyone. Depending on the individual province, primary eduation starts at pre-kindergarten and continues to the end of grade 6 or 8.

This is followed by secondary education or high school. In some provinces this may be divided into junior high (grades 7 to 9) and senior high (grades 10 to 12). Normally, students must complete the required academic courses in high school in order to be admitted to university or college.

The regular school year runs from late August or early September until mid- to late June.
New students can usually be registered throughout the school year. Most schools are
closed on national holidays. Also, all schools are closed between Christmas Eve and New
Year's Day, and most are closed for a week in March for spring break. The longest school
holiday occurs over the summer months of July and August.
Universities and community colleges hold their regular classes from late August or early
September until April, although some courses are offered from January to April and a smaller number are available over the summer months. University and community college courses are not free and the costs vary among the provinces.

When you register your children at the local school or school board office, you must take with you:

Canadian immigrant visa (permanent resident card);

birth certificate or baptismal certificate;

vaccination certificate;

any previous school records.

Your children's language and mathematical skills will be assessed, if necessary, and they will be placed in the program the school thinks is best for them.

Education in Canada is available in English and French. Many Canadian parents, even if they do not speak French themselves, believe it is good for their children to be able to speak both English and French. Some put their children in a French immersion program, where children learn most of the regular subjects in French.

Different languages(OD2121) -- M WASIL, 21:35:45 06/20/08 Fri [1]

Under the Official Languages Act, Canada is an officially bilingual country. This means that Canadians have the right to get federal government services in English or French, no matter what part of Canada they are living in. New Brunswick is the only province that is officially bilingual.

New Brunswick residents receive services in both official languages from all of their provincial government departments and agencies.

In Quebec, French is the official language and in most cases, provincial and municipal services are provided in French.

In the other provinces and territories, English is the official language, and the availability of provincial services in both official languages varies.

At the municipal level, the availability of services in both official languages varies greatly.

Important Social Standards in Canada (es18) -- sumbla, 06:51:23 06/18/08 Wed [1]

Communities across Canada (OD2102) -- OMER Parvez, 05:40:46 06/13/08 Fri [1]

Be careful about children.(WS3535) -- Asad, 12:33:29 06/09/08 Mon [1]

In Canada, you are required by law to properly care for your children. Police, doctors, teachers and children's aid officials will act when children are being abused. This includes any form of harm and abuse - physical, psychological or sexual. All forms of child abuse are severe crimes. In serious cases of abuse, children can be taken away from their parents.

Physical abuse is any intentional physical contact that causes injury. For example, spanking a child long enough or hard enough to cause bruises, or spanking with anything other than an open hand, is a form of abuse. Some cultural practices, such as female circumcision, are also considered physical abuse and are against the law. Psychological abuse includes terror and humiliation.

Sexual abuse includes any form of sexual contact between an adult and a child. Neglect is also a form of child abuse. Parents who fail to protect and provide for their children are guilty of neglect. By law, children under 12 cannot be left alone to look after themselves or younger siblings. Kids' "helplines" are available for children who need someone to help them or just to talk to. visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://settlementincanada.50webs.com/childright.htm">http://settlementincanada.50webs.com/childright.htm</a>

What to do about brittle nails.(WS3535) -- Asad, 13:23:46 06/06/08 Fri [1]

The most common nail wreckers are harsh detergents and water, which can stress nail fibers. So be sure to put rubber gloves on while you clean or do dishes. Also, avoid using perfume lotions that usually contain alcohol if your nails are brittle. It will only make your nails worse. It may be possible that your calcium intake is low, as well. How To Give Yourself A Manicure? Whether you prefer your nails to be long or short, they can still look stunning with a little know-how. Wash and dry your hands. Using a double-sided emery board, file nails using a gentle stroke. Avoid corners of your nails as this can weaken them. Begin to shape your nails. The most popular shape to use is oval, but choose what is most suited to your hand and finger shape. Check to see how well you have done. Run your nails over an old pair of pantyhose. Your nails should not snag the hose.
Apply a softener to your cuticles. Allow to site for a minute or so. Transfer hands to a bowl of warm water and soak for an additional few minutes. Gently push back the cuticles. This should not be painful. If hangnails are present, carefully clip them. visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://nikhar-e-arab.com/nailcare.html">http://nikhar-e-arab.com/nailcare.html</a>

Health is wealth (OD4565) -- QADIR, 22:11:41 04/26/08 Sat [1]

Message Description:

Everyone is familiar with all-out energy drain -- that exhausted day (or night) when no matter how enticing that new movie, fabulous shoe sale, or friendly barbeque, we just can't psych ourselves up to go.

What can be harder to recognize is a low-grade energy drain. In this case, you may not necessarily feel the classic signs of exhaustion -- like achy muscles or that all-over tired feeling. What you do experience is an increasing lack of get-up-and-go for many of the activities you used to love.

"You may also find it harder to concentrate on tasks, and, eventually, you can also find your patience grows short and your level of frustration rises, even when confronted with seemingly simple challenges," says New York University nutritionist Samantha Heller, MS, RD.

If this is starting to sound familiar, take heart. Energy zappers are all around us, some obvious, some hidden. The good news: There is a way around almost all of them.

To this end, we asked health experts to help compile this list of the top 10 energy boosters. Try one, two, or all 10, and you're bound to see your energy levels soar. visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://www.nikharearab.com/healthtips.htm">http://www.nikharearab.com/healthtips.htm</a>

Meaning of basic needs in your life (OD4565) -- qadir, 15:30:34 04/26/08 Sat [1]

Self-esteem is very important for your physical, psychological, and spiritual health.
Enhancing your self-esteem is another passage to personal growth and change. Life begins to take on greater beauty as we open up and appreciate ourselves. As we value and love ourselves, we gain an acceptance of others.
Self-esteem is something we can change and when we do, everything in our life changes.
Self-esteem is simply the value we place on ourselves. If we link it to success, money, belongings and friends then we miss the mark.
Out of true self-esteem, we create results. We become healthier, happier and make a more significant contribution in life.
Self esteem is the opinion you have of yourself. It is based on your attitude to the following:

Your value as a person
The job you do
Your achievements
How you think others see you
Your purpose in life
Your place in the world
Your potential for success
Your strengths and weaknesses
Your social status and how you relate to others

Health is wealth(OD102) -- Muhammad Waleed, 17:18:02 04/23/08 Wed [1]

Meaning of basic needs in your life (OD4565) -- qadir, 10:31:38 04/23/08 Wed [1]

Your independence or ability to stand on your own feet

Getting ready before you leave for Canada (es18) -- sumbla, 11:55:53 04/10/08 Thu [1]

When you travel to Canada, you will need to have the following documents with you:

a Canadian immigrant visa and Confirmation of Permanent Residence for each family member travelling with you;

a valid passport or other travel document for each family member travelling with you;
two copies of a detailed list of all the personal or household items you are bringing with you; and

Involvement of Communities in Canada (OD023) -- muhammad ali, 08:41:09 04/07/08 Mon [1]

: Outside the larger cities, the costs of housing, higher education and services are often much lower.Visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://settlement_in_canada.sitesled.com/communities.htm">http://settlement_in_canada.sitesled.com/communities.htm</a>

Important Social Standards in Canada (OD102) -- Muhammad waleed, 08:22:50 03/24/08 Mon [1]

Social practices - not laws - govern many types of behaviour in Canada. Some traditions are well established and are politely but firmly enforced. For example:

* Lining up or queuing: People normally line up or queue according to the principle of "first-come, first-served." They will be angry if you push ahead in a lineup instead of waiting your turn.
* Not smoking in private homes: Most Canadians do not smoke. When you are in people's homes, you should always ask their permission to smoke. If they do not smoke themselves, they may ask you to go outside to smoke.
* Being on time: You should always arrive on time - at school, at work and for any meeting. People who are often late may be fired from their jobs or suspended from school. Many Canadians will not wait more than 10 or 15 minutes for someone who has a business meeting. For social events, people expect that you will arrive within half an hour of the stated time.
* Respect for the environment: Canadians respect the natural environment and expect people to avoid littering (dropping waste paper and other garbage on the street or throwing it out of your car). They expect you to hold on to your garbage until you can find a proper garbage can.
* Bargaining: Bargaining for a better price is not common in Canada, but there are some exceptions. For example, almost everyone bargains for a better price when buying a car or a house, or other expensive items such as furniture. People who sell things privately may also bargain.
* Smart shopping: Stores compete with one another to attract customers, so it is wise to check and compare prices at different stores before you buy. Note: The price marked on goods in stores does not usually include the federal and provincial sales taxes, which add from 7 percent to 15 percent to the cost of an item, depending on the province in which you buy it.visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://settlement_in_canada.sitesled.com/impsocial.htm">http://settlement_in_canada.sitesled.com/impsocial.htm</a>

The day you arrive in Canada Customs and immigration (008) -- arsalan, 07:25:27 03/12/08 Wed [1]

You will probably find the entry procedure fairly straightforward because you have a passport and other essential documents

You will be interviewed by a Canada Customs officer. You will need to give the officer a list of all the household and personal items that you will be bringing into Canada.

You should also show the immigrant visa to the customs officer, who will refer you to an immigration officer.

The immigration officer will check your visa and travel documents and ask you questions similar to those on the Immigrant Application Form, to verify that you are of good character and in good health.

At this time, you may also be asked to show proof of your funds. If there are no difficulties, the officer will authorize your entry to Canada as a permanent resident by signing your Record
of Landing or Confirmation of Permanent Residence.

If you arrive at one of the major Canadian airports, you will get a booklet called Welcome to Canada: What You Should Know.

It has information on most aspects of life in Canada. It also provides addresses and telephone numbers for:

* immigrant-serving organizations acrossCanada;
* language training assessment centres(which help eligible adult newcomers find free language classes);
* useful federal and provincial government offices.

How you prevent your back ache (OD567) -- Nahida, 17:34:04 03/04/08 Tue [1]

Use your make up blusher cleverly to slim down chubby cheeks
Purchase two shades of blush, one of a deeper shade and one that's lighter. To ensure the shades go together, purchase a compact with two coordinating shades.
Apply your usual foundation make-up or powder to cover any imperfections and even out your skin tone.
Apply the lighter shade of blush in circular motions onto the apples of your cheeks... how do you to find your apples? Just smile!
Next, following the line of your cheekbones, apply a sheer sweep of the deeper shade of blush.
Blend, blend and blend. The key with this trick is to create dimension, but you do not want a very obvious demarcation between your natural cheek color and the blush (i.e. think stripes!).
Sweep a small amount of the lighter shade across your nose and/or forehead as desired to add an extra "glow" to your complexion. for other details visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://www.nikharearab.com/slimfacemakeup.html">http://www.nikharearab.com/slimfacemakeup.html</a>

Healthy Tips for Healthy Minds (OD102) -- Muhammad waleed (Online Home Earning Jobs), 02:05:29 03/03/08 Mon [1]

Positivity rules
Try to stay open-minded and positive. Negative, rigid and inflexible attitudes decrease your ability to deal with the stresses of life and prevent you from enjoying yourself.

Get your zzz’s
Be sure to get an adequate amount of sleep each night. Fatigue can interfere with the information you have already stored and your ability to learn new things.

Beneficial B12
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to serious and irreversible physiological and psychological problems. Get your intake from foods of animal origin like meat, fish, eggs and dairy products.

Stress-free solutions
To combat stress, go outside for a brisk walk instead of smoking a cigarette. Reach for your running shoes instead of the TV remote or a chocolate bar. Regular physical activity (at least 30 minutes a day for most days of the week) and a healthy, balanced, low-fat diet will not only make you feel better but help you to better manage your stress.

Morning energy
Need a boost in the mornings? Time your coffeemaker so that the aroma of coffee coincides with your alarm. Sing in the shower. Use lotions with stimulating scents such as mint.

Plan at least one fun thing to do each day. Eat breakfast. Listen to a radio station that makes you laugh – laughter is one of the best energizers around!
