EPISODE (2.9): Draculashe
SCENE i.
ASHE, ALEC, AND SAM ARE STANDING ON A HILLTOP OVERLOOKING PARIS. FROM THE LOOKS OF THE STRUCTURES, IT IS PARIS IN THE LATE 1930's. THE SUN IS SETTING, MAKING THE LANDSCAPE BEAUTIFUL. ASHE IS HOLDING THE NECROMONICON, WHILE ALEC AND SAM WATCH THE SUNSET. ROMANTIC MUSIC PLAYS SOFTLY IN THE BACKGROUND. THE GROUP IS WAITING ON ELIJIAH, ELLIE, AND RICHARD. ASHE LOOKS OVER AT ALEC AND SAM. ALEC PUTS HIS ARM AROUND SAM, THEN HE LOOKS AT ASHE AND MAKES A THUMBS UP SIGN. ASHE ROLLS HIS EYES AND TURNS AWAY.
SAM
What are you doing?
ALEC
Well, I thought since the sunset was so beautiful…And you're so beautiful….That y'know…
SAM
What? That I would swoon, like one of your idiotic fans. Think again.
ALEC
No, I wasn't thinking that at all. I was…
SAM
Yes, you were. See, that's you're problem Alec. You think I'm just another groupie. Just another conquest. And, I've just about had it with that!
ALEC

ALEC THROWS HIS ARMS UP IN FRUSTRATION. HE STORMS AWAY FROM SAM, AND OVER TO ASHE. SAM FOLDS HER ARMS AND GOES BACK TO LOOKING AT THE SUNSET.
ALEC
Dammit! Why does she have to be so…so…
ASHE
Difficult?
ALEC
Yeah! It's like nothing I do is ever good enough!
ASHE
Don't take it too hard, she's like that with everyone.
ALEC

ASHE
I think it's how she expresses love.
SAM
Dream on, freak!
ASHE
…On the other hand, she may just be a bitch.
ALEC

ASHE LOOKS TOWARD THE CITY.
ASHE
What is taking them so long?
ALEC
Well, Richard said he wanted to shop for some souvenirs… Don't ask. As for Ellie and Elijiah, I think they just wanted some time to themselves.
ASHE JUST NODS.
ALEC
What, no argument? No objection? I thought you didn't trust Elijiah.
ASHE
I don't. But, he did save our lives, quite a few times. That kind of thing grows on a person.
ALEC
Kind of like how I grew on you, bro?
ASHE LOOKS AT ALEC

SCENE ii.
THE WINDOW BALCONY OF A PARIS APARTMENT. ELLIE AND ELIJIAH ARE STANDING THERE, TALKING. OCCASIONALLY THEY GLANCE AT THE ARCHES THAT THEY CAN SEE FROM THEIR POSITION.
ELIJIAH
So, what are you going to do when you get home?
ELLIE
…I don't know. Probably try to put my life back together. I can't imagine how long we've been gone this time.
ELIJIAH
I don't know what I'm going to do when you get home.
ELLIE
What do you mean?
ELIJIAH
Well, I don't really belong anywhere anymore. At first I went with you because I was banished from my town. But, now, I'm here because I want to be…Because you're here.
ELLIE BLUSHES.
ELLIE
You can always stay with me, when we get home.
ELIJIAH
I'd like that…But, I don't think that it's right for me. I'm a wizard on my way to becoming a sorcerer. What better way to gain experience than to travel through time. Who knows, I may even find a way to control our jumps.
ELLIE
That would be fantastic.
ELIJIAH
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I want you to come with me…To stay with me.
ELLIE IS SPEECHLESS FOR A MOMENT.
ELLIE
…I…I don't know, Elijiah.
ELIJIAH
You don't have to answer now. It's a big decision, and something tells me we're going to have time to think it over. I just want you to know now how I feel about you.
ELIJIAH LEANS IN AND KISSES ELLIE. SHE KISSES HIM BACK.
SCENE iii.
BACK ON THE HILLTOP. SAM IS STILL STARING AT THE SUNSET, WHICH IS ALMOST GONE. RICHARD IS BACK. HE IS PLAYING WITH A SHINY METAL PIECE THAT WAS IN HIS BAG. ALEC IS SITTING UNDER A TREE TOSSING PEBBLES. ASHE IS PACING. FINALLY, ASHE GOES OVER TO RICHARD.
ASHE
Alright, what did you steal this time?
RICHARD
I didn't steal anything!
ASHE
…How did I know that was coming.
RICHARD
But, look what I found!
HE HOLDS UP THE HOOD ORNAMENT OF A NAZI ROLES ROYCE.
ASHE
You stole the hood ornament off a Nazi car?
RICHARD
I FOUND the hood ornament on the car, yes. No one was using it, so I borrowed it.
ASHE
That's probably because no one was around to object.
RICHARD
…Possibly.
ELLIE AND ELIJIAH COME WALKING UP TO THE GROUP. THE GROUP GATHERS AROUND ASHE, WHO IS HOLDING THE BOOK STILL.
ASHE
What kept you?
ELLIE
We had to talk.
ASHE
Whatever, let's just get going. The sooner we jump, the sooner we can…er…Jump again.
EVERYONE GROANS OR ROLLS THEIR EYES. THEY ALL TOUCH THE BOOK AND VANISH IN A CLOUD OF FOG AND BRIGHT LIGHT.
SCENE iv.
THE GROUP APPEARS IN THE CENTER OF A MEDIEVAL TOWN. PEOPLE WHO ARE BUSTLING ABOUT THE STREETS STOP WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND STARE AT THE GROUP. THE GROUP IS ALL IN PERIOD CLOTHING. ELLIE IS DRESSED AS A COMMON GIRL. ALEC IS DRESSED IN A BLACKSMITH'S UNIFORM. ELIJIAH IS DRESSED LIKE A SAILOR. ASHE IS WEARING THE COAT OF A NOBLEMAN. AND SAM LOOKS LIKE A SERVING WENCH. RICHARD IS WEARING THE CLOTHES OF A FARMER.
SAM
Oh, what the hell?!? I look like a whore!
ALEC
(under his breath) Hey, if the shoe fits…
SAM
What was that?
ALEC
Oh, nothing…
RICHARD
I wonder when we are now?
ASHE
Probably in the middle ages.
TOWNSWOMAN
They appeared from nowhere. They must be witches! BURN THEM!
ELIJIAH
…This is all hauntingly familiar.
ELLIE
Time to do that running away thing!
THE GROUP TRIES TO RUN, BUT THE CROWD ENCIRCLES THEM TOO FAST. THEY ARE ABOUT TO SIEZE THE GROUP WHEN THEY NOTICE ASHE AND STOP. THEY ALL LOWER THEIR HEADS IN REVERANCE.
TOWNSMAN
M'lord. Forgive us. We did not know these were friends of yours. Please, sire, let us return you to your castle before light so that you may rest. We will provide shelter and food for your friends in the town.
ASHE
Uh…yeah, thanks.
THE TOWSPEOPLE TAKE ASHE AWAY FROM THE GROUP. HE LOOKS BACK, AND SHURGS AS HE IS LEAD TO A CASTLE ON A HILLTOP. ASHE LOOKS UP AND SEES THE CASTLE. IT IS DARK, AND OMINOUS. THUNDER STRIKES IN THE BACKGROUND.
ASHE
Oh yes…this will be juuuusst peachy.
MEANWHILE, THE REST OF THE GROUP IS TAKEN TO THE TAVERN. THEY ARE SEATED AND GIVEN DRINKS.
ELIJIAH
What just happened back there?
SAM
I have no idea. But, it's not the first time Ashe has been mistaken for someone famous.
ELLIE
He must have that kind of face.
ELIJIAH
There could be a deeper meaning behind it.
SAM
This is Ashe, we're talking about. Deep and him don't go together.
RICHARD
That's right, Sam and Ashe go together.
SAM
I'm going to pretend you didn't say that.
A WOMAN FROM THE BAR SITS AT THE TABLE WITH THE GROUP. THIS IS MICHELLE.
MICHELLE
Are you really friends of the master?
SAM
That's debatable.
MICHELLE
How can you befriend him. Knowing what he is?
SAM
I ask myself that every day.
ELLIE
What, exactly, is he?
MICHELLE
You do not know? The master is the most unholy creature ever imaginable. He preys upon the innocent and pure in order to advance his own life.
SAM
Yeah, that's pretty much Ashe.
MICHELLE
Who?
SAM
Uh…nobody.
MICHELLE
That is your companion's name? Oh dear, I believe the town has made a horrible mistake.
SHE GOES TO LEAVE. ALEC STOPS HER.
ALEC
Wait a minute. Please, we're not witches…um…basically. We're just travelers looking to get home.
MICHELLE
I see. Then you must rescue your friend before Lord Dracula is made aware of his existence.
ALEC
Don't worry, my brother can take care of him…Wait…Did you say Dracula?
MICHELLE
Yes, Lord Vladimir Dracul…the Impaler. He is a creature of the night, a Vampire.
ELLIE
We know the story.
ALEC
I've got to get Ashe out of there.
ALEC GOES TO LEAVE. BUT ELIJIAH STOPS HIM.
ELIJIAH
If you barge in there, you'll both get killed. We need a plan… and help.
MICHELLE
There are a few of us who do not worship the dark creature. We will help you get your friend, if you help us destroy Dracula.
SAM LEANS FORWARD, HER HAIR FALLING AWAY FROM HER NECK. MICHELLE NOTICES THE BACK OF HER NECK. SHE GASPS AND RECOILS.
ELLIE
What is it?
MICHELLE
You…You bear the mark.
SAM
The who?
MICHELLE PUSHES THE REST OF SAM'S HAIR AWAY FROM HER NECK. THE REST OF THE GROUP GATHERS AROUND HER. ON THE BACK OF HER NECK IS AN ODDLY SHAPED BIRTHMARK. IT ALMOST LOOKS LIKE RUNIC WRITING.
MICHELLE
She has the mark of the Vampire Slayer on her. She has been chosen to destroy the dark lord.
SAM
What's going on? Stop staring at my neck!
ELLIE
A Slayer? Sam? Oooooh boy.
SAM
I'm a Vampire what now?
MICHELLE
It is your destiny to seek out Vampires and destroy them. You must help us, Slayer.
SAM
Hmmm….take on Dracula? Let me think a minute…No.
MICHELLE
Please, you are our only hope!
SAM
Wait…wait…no the answer is still no.
ALEC
Please, Sam. He's got Ashe.
SAM
Oh well then…Definitely not!
ELLIE
If Ashe gets killed then we won't be able to get home…Ever.
MICHELLE
I believe that your friend's fate may be worse than death. Dracula may turn him into a creature like himself.
ALEC
Oh no.
SAM
Wait…I'm a Vampire Slayer…Ashe may become a Vampire. Hmmm…on second thought, I think I'll help you guys out.
MICHELLE
We need to perform a ritual in order to awaken your Slayer power. Follow me, please. I will take you to our headquarters.
SCENE v.
INSIDE DRACULA'S CASTLE. ASHE IS STANDING IN THE MAIN HALL. IT IS NOT LIKE THE MOVIES. THE ROOM IS LIT WITH MANY CANDLES. IT ALMOST LOOKS LIKE DAYTIME. THE WALLS ARE ADORNED WITH IMAGES OF DATIME LANDSCAPES, AS WELL AS APOCALYPTIC PAINTINGS. THE FLOOR IS POLISHED MARBLE. THERE IS A WINDING STAIRCASE THAT LEADS TO THE UPPER FLOOR. THE TOWNSPEOPLE BOW AS THEY BACK OUT OF THE CASTLE. ASHE LOOKS AROUND IN UTTER CONFUSEMENT.
ASHE
Hello? Is anybody home?…I guess not, I'll just be on my way.
ASHE TURNS AROUND TO LEAVE. HOWEVER, RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM IS A TALL IMPOSING MAN. THIS IS BUTLER.
BUTLER
Can I help you with anything, sir?
ASHE
Dah!…No, no, I was just on my way out.
BUTLER
Oh, but the master was so excited about having you for dinner. And one does not disappoint the master.
ASHE
No, I guess not…I'm Ashe.
HE EXTENDS A HAND. BUTLER JUST LOOKS AT IT. ASHE RETRACTS THE HAND.
BUTLER
I am Butler.
ASHE
What's you're name.
BUTLER

ASHE
You're Butler, the Butler?
BUTLER
This way please, Sir Ashe.
ASHE IS LED THROUGH A DOORWAY, DOWN A LONG CORRIDOR. AND INTO A ROOM WITH A LARGE DINING TABLE. BUTLER MOTIONS FOR ASHE TO SIT IN THE FAR TABLE.
BUTLER
The others will join you shortly. Please make yourself comfortable, sir.
BUTLER LEAVES. ASHE LOOKS AROUND FRANTICALLY.
ASHE
OK, no need to panic…
THE DINNER GUESTS START TO FILE IN. THEY ARE ALL EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL, WITH LONG STRAIGHT HAIR. THEIR EYES ARE A CLEAR LIGHT BLUE. THEY HAVE LONG FINGERNAILS AND NO BEARDS. THEY GRACEFULLY MOVE TOWARD THEIR CHAIRS AND SIT. ALL OF THEM STARE AT ASHE.
ASHE
…Hiya.
A HAND TOUCHES ASHE ON THE SHOULDER. HE JERKS AROUND AND IS SHOCKED TO SEE WHO IT IS.
ASHE
How…How are you here?
THE PERSON IS REVEALED TO BE PENELOPE.
PENELOPE
There are many things to talk about, Ashley. When my lord arrives, he will explain everything to you.
ASHE
…I can hardly contain my anticipation… You all seem to know so much about me, now I see I have you to thank for that Penelope.
A VOICE IS HEARD FROM ACROSS THE ROOM. IT IS EXACTLY LIKE ASHE'S, EXCEPT IT HAS A RUSSIAN ACCENT, AND IS MORE CONFIDENT, AND SEDUCTIVE.
DRACULA
Do not blame her, Ashe. She did it out of love.
DRACULA STEPS INTO VIEW. HE IS WEARING A LONG DARK CLOAK OVER A WHITE SHIRT WITH WAISTCOAT. HIS HAIR REACHES THE MIDDLE OF HIS BACK, AND IS STRAIGHT. HIS FINGERNAILS ARE LONG AND BLACK. DRACULA'S EYES ARE CLEAR BLUE, LIKE THE OTHERS. HIS LIPS ARE BLOOD RED, AND HIS SKIN IS PALER THAN ASHE'S. ASHE IS STUNNED, TO SAY THE LEAST.
ASHE
Who…Who are you?
DRACULA
I am the oldest person you will ever meet. I am the sunset upon the land. I am the dark God to the creatures of the night. I have been known by many names. In this lifetime, I am Lord Vladimir Dracul.
ASHE
…Dracula.
DRACULA
I imagine that you have many questions.
DRACULA SITS DOWN AT THE OPPOSITE END OF THE TABLE.
ASHE
Are you going to kill me?
DRACULA
Of course not. How could I kill a creature so…beautiful as you.
THE OTHER VAMPIRES LAUGH SLIGHTLY AT THIS COMMENT.
DRACULA
No, I will not kill you. I will free you.
ASHE
How?
DRACULA
By showing you a world that is so beautiful, it is indescribable. But, first we must eat.
DRACULA MOTIONS HIS HAND. SERVANTS, WHO APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN BITTEN SEVERAL TIMES COME OUT AND STAND NEXT TO EACH VAMPIRE. A YOUNG WOMAN STANDS NEXT TO ASHE. SHE ROLLS UP HER SLEEVE TO REVEAL SEVERAL TINY PUNCTURE WOUNDS IN HER. ASHE LOOKS AT HER FACE. SHE IS PALE AND OBVIOUSLY WEAK. HOWEVER, SHE DOES NOT LOOK DISTRESSED. SHE LOOKS ALMOST EAGER TO SERVE. THE GIRL PUTS HER HAND CLOSE TO ASHE'S MOUTH. ASHE LOOKS AT HER, AND THEN AT THE OTHER VAMPIRES. THEY ARE ALREADY SUCKING THE BLOOD OUT OF THE SERVANT'S ARMS. ASHE LOOKS AT PENELOPE. SHE IS DRINKING DEEPLY OUT OF A MALE SERVANT. SOME OF THE SERVANTS PASS OUT. BUT, THEY ARE QUICKLY REPLACED BY MORE SERVANTS FROM THE BACK. DRACULA IS THE ONLY ONE NOT DRINKING, BESIDES ASHE. HE IS WATCHING ASHE, INTENTLY. ASHE LOOKS BACK AT THE GIRL.
ASHE
…Thanks, but I had blood for lunch.
HE PUSHES HER HAND AWAY. SHE RECOILS IN TERROR, AS SHE LOOKS AT DRACULA.
DRACULA
It's alright my dear. Ashe has yet to develop a taste for blood. Come over here, I shall drink of you.
SERVANT GIRL
Thank you, my lord.
THE GIRL WALKS OVER TO DRACULA. SHE HOLDS OUT THE ARM WITH THE LEAST AMOUNT OF PUNCTURE WOUNDS ON IT. DRACULA GENTLY TAKES IT, AS IF STUDYING IT. THEN, HE LOOKS AT ASHE AND SMILES. IN A GRACEFUL MOTION HE BITES INTO THE ARM AND BEGINS TO SUCK THE BLOOD OUT OF HER. THE SERVANT GIRL SEEMS TO ENJOY THIS, AND IS ACTUALLY BECOMING AROUSED BY IT. ASHE MOVES BACK IN HIS CHAIR.
ASHE
I bet the others don't have to go through this kind of stuff.
SCENE vi.
THE HEADQUARTERS OF THE RESISTANCE AGAINST DRACULA. THE GROUP IS SITTING AMONG THE RESITANCE MEMBERS. THERE ARE SEVERAL DRUIDIC PRIESTS, AS WELL AS CATHOLIC PRIESTS STANDING TOGETHER. THEY ARE CHANTING. SAM IS IN THE CENTER OF THEM. SHE HAS A CROSS SMUDGED ON HER FOREHEAD. OCCASIONALLY A PRIEST WILL SPATTER HER WITH HOLY WATER WHILE THE DRUIDS CHANT.
ALEC
Are you sure she'll be alright?
MICHELLE
Oh, absolutely.
ALEC
How many times have they done this?
MICHELLE
Only once…but they do read a lot of books.
CATHOLIC PRIEST 1
May the power of the Almighty God descend upon this one as she fights the demons that prey upon the innocent.
CATHOLIC PRIEST 2
May His Son, Jesus Christ protect this one as she champions the cause of light and justice.
CATHOLIC PRIEST 3
May the Holy Spirit empower this one as she walks through the fires of damnation, in order to save all mankind.
THE CATHOLIC PRIESTS STEP OUT. THE DRUIDS STEP IN.
DRUID 1

Ooh…
DRUID 4
Ah Ah…
ALEC LOOKS AT ELLIE. SHE ROLLS HER EYES. THE PRIESTS MOVE AWAY TO REVEAL SAM, PASSED OUT ON THE FLOOR. ALEC RUSHES TO HER SIDE.
ALEC
What's wrong with her?
MICHELLE
She has to rest the night. At dawn, she will awaken with the power of the Slayer. We will take her to a bed.
ALEC
No…I'll carry her.
HE PICKS SAM UP. SHE UNCONSCIOUSLY SLAPS HIM IN THE FACE. ALEC LOOKS DOWN AT HER, BUT SHE ISN'T AWAKE. HE FOLLOWS MICHELLE INTO ANOTHER ROOM.
SCENE vii.
DRACULA AND ASHE ARE WALKING ALONG A LONG HALLWAY. IT IS FILLED WITH PAINTINGS FROM DIFFERENT PERIODS IN HISTORY. THERE IS SOMETHING ILLUMINATED ON A PEDESTAL AT THE END OF THE HALLWAY, BUT WE CAN'T SEE WHAT IT IS. ASHE IS VISABLY DISTRAUGHT.
DRACULA
Yes, it's true. I was once Odysseus of Greece. That was when I first became master of the darkness.
ASHE
How?
DRACULA
I discovered something in the woods on my land. A book…Within it's pages I learned the black arts. I thought that the incantation I read would grant me ultimate power. However, I was only partially correct. The book gave me eternal life, but at the price of Vampirism. I left my home, and family for years. I did not want them to fall victim to my blood lust. However, soon after, I realized that they should share in what I had realized was a wonderful gift. I returned to Penelope, and learned that she had already been visited by one such as myself…You.
ASHE
Uh, yeah…about that whole: marrying your wife thing. Heh.
DRACULA
Do not speak of it. That is in the past, my brother. You and I are the future. You are my other half. Kin to my kin. Blood of my blood. You must feel it.
ASHE
…I…I don't know what I feel.
THE TWO COME UPON THE PEDESTAL WHICH HOLDS THE NECROMICON.
ASHE
Oh, that book…
DRACULA
Yes, the Necromonicon. The source of my power, and the source of your turmoil.
ASHE
That's putting it mildly.
DRACULA
All of the Vampires in this castle, with the exception of myself of course, are formed from my blood. They are impure. If you will allow it. I want to give you the gift I received long ago. We would be magnificant together, brother.
ASHE
…Um…Can I sleep on it.
DRACULA
Take all the time you need. But do not try to leave the castle. The nighttime is not…Safe.
VLAD WALKS OFF INTO THE DARKNESS AND DISAPPEARS. ASHE ENTERS THE ONLY DOOR IN THE HALLWAY. APPARENTLY IT IS HIS ROOM. THERE IS A BED WITH CURTAINS AROUND IT. THERE ARE NO WINDOWS, HOWEVER. ASHE PLOPS DOWN ON THE BED AND SIGHS. A HAND REACHES ACROSS HIS CHEST.
PENELOPE
It is not as bad as you think, my love.
ASHE
Dah! Stop doing that!
PENELOPE
Hee hee. Forgive me, old habits die hard.
ASHE WIPES A DROP OF BLOOD OFF OF THE CORNER OF HER MOUTH.
ASHE
Apparently so.
PENELOPE
Please, my love. Accept the master's offer. Then, we can be together, forever.
ASHE
…I thought you and he were…
PENELOPE
No, not since you left have I known true love. My master knows and accepts this. I am truly sorry that my moment of weakness caused you so much pain.
ASHE
…I don't know what to say, Pen.
PENELOPE
Then tell me you still love me, Ashe.
ASHE LOOKS DISTRAUGHT, BUT RELIEVED THAT PENELOPE IS HERE. HE LEANS IN AND KISSES HER.
SCENE viii.
RESISTANCE HQ. SAM IS RESTING COMFORTABLY IN A BED. THERE IS A WINDOW ABOVE HER THAT IS STREAMING IN LIGHT. ALEC IS SITTING IN A CHAIR NEXT TO HER BED. HE IS ASLEEP. MICHELLE COMES IN JUST AS SAM WAKES UP.
SAM
How long have I been asleep?
MICHELLE
All night. It's dawn. You slept like the dead…er..you slept well.
SAM
Did it work?
MICHELLE
We believe so, yes.
SAM LOOKS AT ALEC, WHO IS STILL ASLEEP.
SAM
How long has he been there?
MICHELLE
All night. He nodded off a few hours after he carried you in here.
SAM
He carried me?
MICHELLE
Yes.
ALEC STIRS AWAKE. HE SEES SAM SITTING UP IN BED.
ALEC
Are you alright?
SAM
Yeah, I suppose so. I mean the bed is kind of lumpy. Couldn't you have told them to get a soft one for me.
ALEC
…Sorry. I'll remember for next time.
MICHELLE
We must hurry. By the time we get organized, it will be nearly nightfall.
SCENE CHANGES TO THE MEETING ROOM OF THE RESISTANCE. THEY ARE STANDING AROUND A TABLE WITH A DIAGRAM OF THE CASTLE ON IT. THE GROUP IS THERE TOO.
MICHELLE
I know the layout of the castle fairly well. Therefore, I shall lead you into there. Once inside, you must destroy all the vampires you can. They will protect Dracula like he is their God. Are all of you going?
ELIJIAH
Yes…
ELLIE
Absolutely…
SAM
Yes…
ALEC
Nothing could keep me away…
RICHARD
Where are we going?
THE GROUP ROLLS THEIR EYES. MICHELLE CONTINUES.
MICHELLE
We will need every advantage we have. The weapons we have available are crossbows, stakes, and silver crosses.
SAM
Sounds good…
RICHARD

THE GROUP BARGES INTO THE MAIN HALL OF DRACULA'S CASTLE. THE SUN IS SETTING, SO THE HALL IS EMPTY.

ELLIE, ELIJIAH, AND RICHARD SMILE AS THEY WALK AWAY FROM MICHELLE, ALEC, AND SAM.

SHE PULLS OUT A STAKE AND STARTS TO WALK UP THE STAIRS. SUDDENLY CLAPPING ECHOS THROUGH THE HALL. THE THREE LOOK AROUND AND SEE THEMSELVES SURROUNDED BY VAMPIRES. AT THE TOP OF STEPS IS DRACULA. HE IS CLAPPING.

Maybe we shouldn't instigate anything until we know just how we're going to get out of this alive.

ASHE AND DRACULA TURN TO LEAVE. THE VAMPIRES PLUNGE ON ALEC, SAM, AND MICHELLE. A FIGHT ERUPTS. SAM IS SURPRISED WHEN SHE CAN MATCH THE VAMPIRE STRENGTH BLOW FOR BLOW. ALEC AND MICHELLE ARE HAVING A TOUGH TIME JUST SURVIVING, HOWEVER. ASHE NOTICES THIS AS HE LEAVES.
SCENE CUTS TO ELLIE, ELIJIAH, AND RICHARD. THEY ARE IN THE HALLWAY WITH THE NECROMONICON. IT IS GUARDED BY TWO VAMPIRES.

If that gun of yours works, now would be a good time to use it.

RICHARD PULLS OUT HIS GUN. TAKES AIM AND SHOOOTS BOTH VAMPIRES. THEY DISINTEGRATE INTO DUST AS THE SILVER BULLETS HIT THEM. RICHRAD TWIRLS THE GUN AND BLOWS ON THE BARREL. THE THREE RUN TO THE BOOK. ONCE THERE, ELLIE HOLDS IT AS ELIJIAH FLIPS THROUGH THE PAGES.

Wait…here's something. This incantation will banish any evil created by the Necromonicon into another dimension. We have to be close to Dracula in order to make this work. And once the portal is open, one of us must seal it by reciting the passage beneath this drawing.
ELLIE
We'd better hurry back. Something tells me the others are in trouble.
SCENE CUTS TO THE MAIN HALL. ALEC IS BEING HELD BY HIS THROAT BY A VAMPIRE WHO IS GLOATING OVER HIM. MICHELLE IS UNCONSCIOUS ON THE FLOOR. SAM IS BEING RESTRAINED BY THREE VAMPIRES. ASHE APPEARS AT THE STAIRWAY. HE WALKS DOWN TO SEE ALEC. ALONG THE WAY HE PICKS UP A STAKE.

ASHE GOES TO STAB ALEC WITH THE STAKE. HOWEVER, AT THE LAST SECOND. HE TURNS THE STAKE AND STABS THE VAMPIRE CHOKING HIM. THAT VAMPIRE DISINTEGRATES INTO A THOUSANDS PIECES OF DUST. THE OTHER VAMPIRES ARE STUNNED. SAM USES THIS CONFUSION TO THROW THEM OFF. SHE STAKES TWO OF THEM, AND ASHE STAKES THE LAST ONE. WHEN EVERYTHING HAS CALMED DOWN. SAM STANDS OPPOSITE TO ASHE, SHE IS HOLDING A STAKE. HE IS HOLDING HIS.

…I guess you turned out to be the Slayer.
SAM
…Guess so.
ASHE DROPS HIS STAKE.
ASHE
Then, do what you have to.
SAM REACHES BACK TO STAB ASHE WITH THE STAKE. ALEC LOOKS HORRIFIED. SAM LOOKS PAST ASHE, AT ALEC. SHE HESITATES, AND THEN DROPS THE STAKE. ASHE FALLS TO HIS KNEES, CRYING.

SAM KNEELS DOWN AND HOLDS HIM. ALEC IS SURPRISED TO SAY THE LEAST.

Alright, alright. Stop crying you big baby. You're getting my clothes all wet.

DRACULA FLIES THROUGH THE AIR AND CRASHES INTO ASHE. THE TWO FIGHT FURIOUSLY. MEANWHILE, ELLIE IS HOLDING THE BOOK AS ELIJIAH IS READING FROM IT.

DRACULA STOPS THE FIGHT AND LOOKS AT ELIJIAH.

A PORTAL OPENS. DRACULA IS PULLED TOWARD IT. A HUGE WIND PICKS UP. IT BEGINS TO PULL EVERYTHING TO GET ASHE AND DRACULA. ASHE DIGS HIS NAILS INTO A STONE PILLAR TO HANG ON. DRACULA IS HOLDING ON TO THE STAIRWAY. HE SCREAMS AS THE VORTEX PULLS HIM IN.

HE IS SUCKED INTO THE VORTEX. ASHE IS STARTING TO LOSE HIS GRIP. HE IS ABOUT TO FLY IN, WHEN A HAND GRABS HIS. ASHE LOOKS UP TO SEE ALEC HOLDING ON.

ELIJIAH REACHES FOR ELLIE. SHE REACHES OUT TO HIS HAND. AS SOON AS THEY TOUCH THE SCREEN IS BATHED IN WHITE LIGHT.

STREET CORNER. THE GROUP JUMPS INTO THE CORNER OF A STREET. THERE IS A BRICK BUILDING BEHIND THEM. A LAMPOST, AND NEWSPAPER STAND. ASHE FALLS TO THE GROUND WHEN THEY JUMP IN.

Lets hope we don't have to do that again!
HE SEES THAT IT'S DAYLIGHT. IMMEDIATELY HE THROWS HIMSELF ON TOP OF ASHE.

HE HOLDS UP THE ENTERTAINMENT SECTION. IT READS "SAM RAIMI TO DIRECT EVIL DEAD 4: THE NEXT GENERATION." THE GROUP IS SHOCKED. THE CAMERA PANS ABOVE THEM AS THEY ALL SHOUT.
