I was just thinking on this while I loaded the dishwasher- how everyone rags on Lymond when he goes to such extremes for all of them, he does most of it to save their necks, but really thier sistorted perceptions are his fault because he never allows anyone to see his true emotions- witht the exception of Richard at the end of Game of K and Kate at one point in that story too. lymond purposefully distracts people by throwing in obscure literary references that none of us or them get. But...he does all that because he actually feels so deeply he would go crazy if he let it all out. And so I just wish I could put that golden head on my breast and love him since I understand him so much better than all those he has to live with!!! (grin)

As for Oonagh- yes, she knew right away Lymond was not Phelim but let the plot go on against Phelim because the Irish faction wanted him out of the way, but then, she started liking Phelim and tried to get him to go for his own safety. And lymond suspected it all from the beginning- so he was saving Phelim through the whole story while increasing the risk to himself and saving the little Queen too. What a man!
