Subject: I'll Never Forget Sam

One night I wandered into the Troubador in Los Angeles,
When I wasn't on the road or in the studio I always stopped in to check out the bands.
I sat in the back sipping a coke. Sam was up on stage singing Lovin You Just crossed My Mind. I was knocked out by the song and Sam.
I went back to the dressing room after the show and introduced myself. Sam and I became fast friends that week,
playing and trading songs up above the strip at his producers home til the sun came up in the morning.
That week still stands as one of my fondest memories.
We lost touch over the years as so often happens. When I finally tried to make contact with Sam again I was shocked and saddened to learn he had passed. Sometimes friends come into our lives for a short time then they are gone..and never forgotten. Robin Reid, Los Angeles, California
