On the subject of Reptoids and such, are any of you familiar with the statuettes from the Jarmo excavation? in all seriousness, Brother Stargold is correct. There are multitudinous beings in the sphere of radiant matter in and through the visible solid earth that has been dubbed the "astral" by many over the decades. This is because the matter of that plane is the same matter that is behind the energy and light of the stars. This radiant matter is invisible to human senes, and becomes visible as the "cosmic fire" that ignites the denser, coarser matter of the airy, fluid, and solid state of the physical plane where the portals in space allow it to enter this universe directly. In the solid state of our human universe, is the "fire, air, water and earth" with which we are familiar.
Science is just beginning to discover what occultists ( in the benign, metaphysical sense ) have known for ages - that there are underlying states of matter in, through, around and to the visible universe.
Getting back to the astral, this layer has beings in it as does every layer. Many, if not most of these beings in this layer very close to the gross physical level ( there is nothing "spiritual" about the "astral" ) are thought projections and desire forms cast off by human beings. They are like mini programs - software "aplets" if you will - automatons embedded in matter. Jung called them "dis-associated" parts of the ego. The shared realm of the "subconscious" he was working with is actually the astral plane.
The matter of any plane takes on the form and function of the nature of the thought or desire. If you could see astral beings, they would look, to human perception, like whatever they represented - from the most glorious and beautiful of beings to the lowliest and most ugly. Most animals on the face of the earth have not "evolved" from an initial form, nor have people evolved from animals. The animals are merely the cast off desires of humans embodied in the matter of the plane on which we live. They have floated to the top ( or bottom, as it were ) so to speak.
Many of the invisible beings on the astral CAN be seen in dreams ( where the astral level of the senses can work, seeing clearly even when the organ of the eye is closed shut. This is the sense of sight working in astral matter, and an excellent example of what the phenomenon is all about.
Many of the malignant beings on the astral seek to return to the psychic atmospheres of the people that generated them or those willing to entertain them and give them energy by fresh thought, feeling, and desire. Thus they are, in effect, vampires of a sort, and will, if allowed, eventually obsess and overpower the will of those who willingly accept their promptings and parasitical control. They range from desires such as gluttony and lust for food, power, comfort, etc - to the ugliest impulses to sexual depravity, murder, destruction, hate, etc.
Beware of what you think, feel and desire. Your thoughts will always exteriorize as an act, object or event in physical matter surrounding you. This is COSMIC LAW. No one is exempt ( noone ) . Life is a self-generated dream. We can make it a heaven, or we can make it a hell.

Jung's Model
All synchronistic phenomena can be grouped under three categories:
1 The coincidence of a psychic state in the observer with a simultaneous objective, external event that corresponds to the psychic state or content, (e.g. the scarab), where there is no evidence of a causal connection between the psychic state and the external event, and where, considering the psychic relativity of space and time, such a connection is not even conceivable.
2. The coincidence of a psychic state with a corresponding (more or less simultaneous) external even taking place outside the observer's field of perception, i.e. at a distance, and only verifiable afterward (e.g. the Stockholm fire).

Remember Oz? whenever you start it's always best to start at the beginning. mary hobbs rm 444, that was in a movie, the significance of that number? It showed up recently being "tagged" with 444 on a "ticket", hmmm. Anyway, been up since monday working 37 hours, went home and cleaned up and slept maybe 4 hours and back to finish in 4 and a half hours this morning, a couple of appointments and home now, so maybe I got 5 hours sleep since monday and can't say I'm at my best. I’m not sure which direction I want to take this site. Perhaps a mixture of metaphysics combined with real world politics would serve the reader best. In the mean time those outside the gold bug community may not understand your wit and feel that you are an extremist so I’d appreciate it if you would refrain from too much fanatical humor until this thing gets off the ground. It’s one of those birds of a feather thingys that gives me concern.

I was somewhat taken back reading the associated post to be sure. I don't know what you want; I did go through your Great Illusion Link and agree you may have some influence shaping your objective reality beyond what is imposed on you externally. Your post begs the question of can I be all things to all people and the answer is no I can't. In truth all I can really be is myself although "I hear ya" and can effect a demeanor respective of your wishes. Your post really begs the question: What do you want? Did you want to have an interesting conversation as we have in the past or have you set your sights on "goin' space truckin'? I won't throw you away or give up on you, unless you decide you're not interested in talking to me and then I'll part company and go my way. Regardless what you decide, thanks for the chat.

Those of us in the investment business who advocate individual gold ownership are often accused of being unpatriotic. In part, this charge stems from the dire economic forecasts that often form the basis for such recommendations in the first place. However, our critics often confuse the recognition of a problem and the belief that its inevitable resolution will be painful, with an actual preference for such an outcome in the first place.
I can not speak for everyone, but as a self professed "gold-bug" myself, if there were any way for America's many economic imbalances to be resolved painlessly, of course I would root for that outcome. However, as this is no more possible than a heroin addict kicking the habit without going through withdrawal, it makes no sense to hope for it simply to satisfy someone else's misguided concept of patriotism. In fact, from my perspective, letting my emotions guide my investment recommendations, even under the pretext of patriotism, would be completely irresponsible.
As I have often written, America's problems are in reality no different than the problems facing many of its individual families -- we live beyond our means by consuming more than we produce, financing the difference by borrowing from abroad. Ultimately the enormous accumulation of external liabilities means that Americans will be forced to significantly reduce their future consumption in order to service and repay these debts. In effect, rather than our excess consumption reflecting superior economic performance, it merely evidences our willingness to trade future for present consumption.
Of course, a significant reduction in consumption, which accounts for better than 70% of GDP, means a severe recession. However, recognizing that this recession is absolutely necessary, and preferring that it occur sooner rather than later, does that make me unpatriotic. On the contrary, the further in the future this recession takes place the more painful and disruptive it will be. The bigger the economic hole we dig for ourselves, the more difficult it will be to get out. My forecast however does not imply that I am happy about having to make it. I would certainly have preferred it if Americans had not gotten themselves into this mess in the first place.
Because of my concerns, I have advised my clients to invest abroad. When the dollar falls, those investments benefit from that decline. Certainly as a broker I am happy about that outcome, but as an American I would have preferred not to have been forced to invest abroad in the first place. While it is true that a falling dollar benefits my clients, in the long run it will also benefit America, as its decline is a necessary step in the badly-needed, long overdue adjustment process. The longer the dollar is supported at artificially high levels, the deeper our imbalances become. Would I prefer it if a fundamentally strong U.S economy produced an equally strong dollar? Would such an outcome be preferable to an unbalanced economy producing a dollar collapse? Of course, but since that scenario is impossible, why waste time or risk my clients' money, on sheer fantasy?
While I am certainly glad that I have been able to protect so many Americans from potentially suffering the full impact of the dollar's coming demise, that does not mean that I am happy about having to have done so in the first place. As I am powerless to alter the course our nation is on, I am making a difference the only way I can. However, I am keenly aware of the pain millions of Americans not fortunate enough to be among my clients will undoubtedly suffer, and expect to take no joy in their collective misfortune. On the bright side, at least those Americans whose wealth I am able to help protect will be better positioned to assist other Americans who lacked the foresight to do likewise.
Ironically, despite aspersions about their patriotism, I find most "gold-bugs" to be among America's most patriotic citizens. The Constitution of the United States specifically establishes gold and silver as money in Article 1, Section 10 by denying the states the power to make anything other than gold and silver coin legal tender in payment of debt, and in Article 1, Section 8 by only authorizing the Federal government to coin money (gold and silver) and regulate its value. Since none of the monetary provisions of the Constitution have ever been repealed or amended, they remain in effect to this day. Since in America we do not swear oaths to defend the government, but to preserve and protect the Constitution, not only is gold ownership financially prudent, it is down-right patriotic.
Note on today's GDP numbers
Today's weaker than expected GDP numbers are just the tip of the iceberg. As consumers continue feeling the pinch of higher interest rates, mortgage payments, rents, taxes, gas and other consumer prices, health care costs and insurance rates, together with vanishing home equity, look for the economy to continue to weaken in the quarters ahead. This weakness will ultimately spill over to business spending and employment, further exacerbating the problems confronting America's over-leveraged consumers, and its equally vulnerable bubble economy. Expect the first of many out-right quarterly contracts to begin sometime in 2007. A slowing U.S. economy and a potential pause in future rate hikes will knock the legs out from under the dollar, causing consumer prices to rise even faster, further suppressing consumer spending and intensifying the downward pressures on GDP.
