This board has been up for so many years and that's a tirbute to the tenacity of the founder and to the few people who use it. Newburgh's not a happy peaceful little river town and it never really was. There were happy people who lived here but most of them are dead or moved to places here they could be happy instead of drained here.

Heaven isn't up there in the sky over your head. Heaven is where you want it to be and that can be anywhere, even in Newburgh. You just have to make it what you want it to be and not just let other people keep you down. If you want Heaven then create it. If somebody gets in your way, even in the Bible people got destroyed for getting in the way of making things better. Destroy if you must, from the top of the list right on down to the bottom. Makes no difference who they are or what they call themselves.

People need to take their own action and never mind waiting for somebody else to come in. There aren't any princes on any stallions rushing in to make things better. So it's time to stop the bitching and get to the doing.

That other board is full of misery and sadness and anger and bitterness. This one needs to balance that out. It's a hard job but somebody has to do it and this is the place to do it! So come on Newburgh! Let's go! Let's start doing something good for the place for a change! If we all want a little bit of Heaven, then maybe we can work on it together. Here's a nice place to start.
