The Heights Assn. is like any other committee, commission or association around. Basic selfserving for people who need to be part of something with a name and an acronym. They do what suits them and their own purpose and the city just keeps disappearing while the wrecking balls keep swinging. Take that any way you like.

This city is so small and nobody can enforce anything in it. Mostly because enforcers got no support from the residents. Look how fast the Participation thread here went. This is what happens in town on a small scale.

The idea of making landlords live in their own multiple dwellings is a great idea. But who's going to enforce that?

I too think that those nuisance buildings are our next parking lots, dumpimg grounds, gang hangouts or like the tree huggers call them, "open space".

Anybody here remember all the broohaha over the Liberty St. School? And yes, where's the Palatine Hotel these days?
