The city government OBVIOUSLY doesn't give a crap about anybody or anything but its self. From the clerks on up. This is an obvious given. City departments are ready to demolish and destroy rather than renovate or restore. But when a NEWBURGHER does good, they're right there to take news coverage, photo op, credit. THEY DID NOTHING. NEWBURGHERS ARE THE SUCCESS STORY! Some Newburghers thrive on whining and bemoaning their fate but, excuse me, won't get up off their ever fattening asses to actually PARTICIPATE in anything to make even their own block better! They have more excuses for not doing than I don't know what. Not even one is valid. They just want to ride the backs of the few who DO. Ah, but then they, like the government and other departments like to bitch about the ones who DO something to improve things mostly because it steals THEIR spotlight. So c'mon! If NEWBURGHERS don't rebuild Newburgh, just WHO in hell WILL? It's really time for the regular people to just take it all into their iwn hands, do what needs to be done, no matter what, get the job done and be satisfied. SCREW the rest of them. Really. Don't you think?
