What a great motto. I wonder which politician will take it for the next last mayoral run or city council seat. Great points made too about accountability.

Yes participation on open forums is important and we're lucky to have one where everybody can give his opinion. As for me I'd like to see some solid suggestions on how we can turn things back into positive here. I have one that probably isn't so popular but I think that a politician's past record on important issues must be made public when they run for office. When they make promises they must prove publicly that they can come through and give a date when those promises will be delivered. No more falling on what they did in some other town. No more "native son" crap. Just because you were born and raised here doesn't mean you can run the show. After all the place went to hell while you lived here so you didn't do anything to stop the destruction before and probably won't do anything once you get the position. So for the next elections don't tell lies or make promises unless you will openly prove everything or you don't get the vote.

My start. Anybody else?
