Read why the people who live in the neighborhood where the trials will be held in NYC don't want it there.

Surrounding the area with steel barricades, snipers on the rooftops, constant helicopters, pro-terrorist demonstrators, Al Jazeera reporters, demonstrators.

A recent interview on NPR Radio of one resident reported license plate scanners and cameras all over the area. 24 hour video of every person and their every move.

OK. Maybe it will ckean the drug traffic and gang violence out for the time. But what about the al Quieda supporters who will show up? What about radical Muslim factions that will pour into Newburgh? What area of Newburgh will be protected? Who will protect the rest of Newburgh?

The "state of the art" court house is located at a major intersection. Imagine that being closed. Where will the traffic go? What kind of security will be provided to the alternate routes?

Traffic on Broadway/17k to and from Stewart will be under scrutiny. Union Ave. I84. I87. Route 32. The Nbg/Bcn Bridge. The ferry.

Is anybody in this city awake? Is anybody thinking?
