I put my thoughts out here as public. Everyone is free to pass them on. It's in the best civic interest I believe. One of the reasons I prefer this board.
But about the Dirty Pictures post I had to laugh. "Dirty Pictures". Clever. But I remember a certain poster to the "official" board who believes him or herself to be beyond reproach posting vivid pictures of properties full of garbage and other shots of properties in the city that upset him or her. I don't think it would be aporopriate here because that's not usually how we operate. But it's interesting how the same approach to something by one person or group is so acceptable depending on who that person is or who they pal around with. After all we're only trying to make our situation better and the garbage is a big problem.
Still I guess I agree that pictures might not be the best way to go yet.
Good luck at the Citizens Committee. It will be fun to see how well the idea is greeted. Meanwhile you can be sure I'll be doing what I can to keep my block cleaned up. Too bad we can't all be good citizens and neighbors. Some just believe city hall is responsible for everything and everybodys' comfort and pleasure.
